...when you get into PPR, then the subject of mythological beings becomes immediately relevant. *cough* There needs to be a place in the playground where things get a little muddy, at least in my mind. It's kept shut off, and everyone who wants to avoid it knows how to do so pretty quickly... don't read that forum.

Because I am not really interested in it. I hardly ever go there. I mean do you see me in the Adult Asperger Issues or in the videogame board or the TV Movie board or the Women's Discussion Board or the Off the Wall, Getting to Know Each Other, etc. I hardly ever or sometimes go to those places.

This is starting to get really old; practically any time I post in PPR I am subjected to a barrage of abuse from this user. Typically along similar lines to this.

| Thats just part & parcel of PPR, name calling shouldn't be part of it, but snide remarks tend to get a similar response. It was a good thread topic but the issue did get hijacked by partisan bickering. If people want to rant on politics, expect a little mud slinging. |

I don't mind it when a discussion gets somewhat heated, and I have a thick enough skin to shrug off the occasional insult, but such a continued pattern of abuse- mostly involving claims and assumptions that I have repeatedly called him out on as being unfounded- does get on my nerves. I mean, others have insulted me before in PPR and I've insulted others as well, but Griff really is going overboard.

| He's definitely got issues, I can't stomach most of the stuff in there, and try to avoid it most of the time. I don't have the energy to dwell there longer then a few posts before I need to have a little lie down. For the most part people are a little more well behaved in ppr, but its kind of lost something when Raggy left. |

Unacceptable content includes swearing; racist, sexist, homophobic language; behavior intended to provoke or belittle other members;
2. Personal attacks.
This includes insinuation, ridicule and personal insults, regardless of whether direct or indirect. Attacking an opinion, belief or philosophy is acceptable, but attacking the person making the comments is not.
so. . call the concept doo-doo headed, but not the person a doo-doo head.

We do take a rather liberal interpretation with those, don't we - especially the first one.. I'm not complaining, just that there is a recognition of adult behavior and appropriate venue. Agree totally, Merle - focus on the subject, not the speaker.
