Ha, you were too quick. I was editing.
New Orleans, in my opinion, wasn't a great place before, during, nor after. _________________ sticks and stones may kill you. |

And there you have it... Our leaders saw the people of New Orleans as "whiners." |

After all, the ENTIRE population of a largely African-American city MUST be criminals, right? To Hell with ni**ers. |

Well, no. Because many of them were criminals.

That pretty much sums up America in total. If you're black, you're committing a crime. If you're whitey, you're struggling to survive. _________________ Yami: Wait, did you just summon a bunch of monsters in one turn?

Sorry, O, but I have to say you were having a flare up of cranio-rectal syndrome syndrome when you wrote that. I have a friend who lived in New Orleans through Katrina. He and his wife were gainfully employed, contributing to society in many ways, and raising a family. They actually liked it there - sure, there was more poverty and crime than many other cities, but it was a place they called home. They stayed through the hurricane because they were involved in providing essential services. They and their child were exposed to a slice of hell that was replicated a million times over. But I guess they can be dismissed as just another band of whining criminals? |

Well, was New Orleans populated only by this family ? The saints march everywhere, but when they're gone not even their shadow remains.
In any sense, I do consider a great deal of people to whine. We do whine. We have a higher standard of living than many millions of people, yet we still cry. I don't agree with Gramm because I consider most politicans to be even worse whiners and materialists, however who in the west does not whine? The west consume the most, yet whines that it has nothing.

Actually, I thought it was more towards the Aboriginals, although I think the average socioeconomic status of an Aboriginal is even lower than an African-American in the US. It's a problem that either gets swept under the carpet, or is dealt with in ways that go wrong. _________________ Yami: Wait, did you just summon a bunch of monsters in one turn?
