Let's face it. There are no bad Beatles....
Well... maybe we'll make an exception for Pete Best...
but who do you think was the worst Beatle?

Yoko doesn't count, and neither does Ringo's
substitute Jimmy Nicol. Stu is eligible, but as
he didn't really leave us with much to comment
on, it would be a moot point.

Between George and Ringo, I'd have to say that I'm more of a Ringo fan, than a George fan. It's pretty close though.

I agree with Dox47. He wrote all the corniest songs
AND he broke up the Beatles. Yoko still seems to be
taking the bullet for that one.

Bithchin' bass player, though.

I love you, Paul.

Rhinoceros.

I can't say Ringo, although George is the better musician. *sigh*

Sorry for breaking the party but just being honest: grown up with their music due to my dad being a big fan, and never got into it. They are highly overrated IMO. I am not denying how influential or renewing they were, but it just doesn't do it to me. Only John Lennon is one I really would say is a great artist. McCartney and Ringo were at the right time at the right place I guess.

They were all quality musicians, but somehow it is not my cup of tea. To me, their fellow Liverpudlians Echo & The Bunnymen are the best band ever, compared to them I find the Beatles just mediocre.

Sorry, just my opinion.

Glad I am not the only person that doesn't like them that much. I would almost feel unnormal for it Smile

I cannot say I hate them, they did some great songs. But not enough really great songs to be really into them. Maybe I could fill a 15 tracks CD with great songs by them, but that is not enough to really consider them amongst the all-time greatest. The music doesn't annoy me, I can even appreciate some of it, but it doesn't get under my skin. I would say they are good musicians, but overrated as in: not the best ever by far.

To me, The Beatles never ever managed to produce an album that comes even close to Ocean Rain by the Bunnymen. That one album has more brilliance than the entire Beatles discography and I am 100% serious when typing this.
But... that is just my own opinion, and I am aware 99% of people will disagree with me.
