How do I paste a thread to my post?
I don't know who else to ask.

How to get your age to show in the author panel?

How to show your age alongside your Post Count, Location and other details in the Author Panel – the Author Panel is the bit to the left of your post where your User or Nickname shows along with your avatar if you have one Wink

Go into your profile and give your birthday, you may be able to do this without putting the year in.

Some people just put a birth date near their real one, so its clear ROUGHLY what their age is, but without giving their exact birth date because they are cautious about identity theft (although I'd think that wasn't all that big a risk).

Please bear in mind that you can't access the adult forum without giving your birth date and being (whatever it is currently) years old.

What happens when my Inbox is full?

If your Inbox is full, and more mail arrives, the oldest mails drop out of the box to make way for the new ones.

If your Sentbox(Sent+Out) is full, you won't be able to send any more (or do the old ones drop off, again? I'm not sure about this one, and don't feel like testing it Smile ).

If your Savebox is full, you can't put any more messages into it.

KingOfKaboom asked, and I answered (I think) - What happens when my Inbox is full?

I will (try to remember to) delete this message and repost a similar one when I make any updates... it just occurred to me that if people had this thread on their watched threads, they might like to know about updates.

I read all 3 pages of FAQ and find Q multiplying exponentially. I'm now officially lost. I'm new to computers as well as WrongPlanet. Does anyone besides Aspies even bother with all this stuff? I still can't figure out how to put stuff someone said in a little box to quote it in my post... hello? now you're lost too. If this is for beginners, more English please!

The above is done by just clicking on the "Quote" button on a post.

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp648191.html#648191 does show how to do it in more detail.

You could also read through the standard help on "BBCode", which is available via the underlined link in the "Options" box, while you are posting (as I am now).

If you have questions that are not answered here, please ask them.

How do you put in those quotes that always appear under your posts? Like the ''Look! Bunnies!'' one. I like that!

Maybe I should make it clearer that that is a link?

It takes you to the standard FAQ about using this phpBB2 based board - where all the non-WP-specific stuff is explained. This thread is (mainly) for the bits that are customised to WP or are external to WP.

I wanted to embed links to Forum threads I like & create lists, etc, in my blog entries.

I think it might help if you underlined your links. I know it helps me.
