These aren't nearly as good as the others shown on here, which were fantastic, but here are some of mine:

OK, I admit the first one's a bit disconcerting, but suspect that was the effect you were going for. The second is very cool. It's rahter evocative, adn the your use of color is very nice.

Yes, I very much like that second one, midge, and the first one is creepy. Very Happy

I'm working on yet another Degas pic in conte pencil. Maybe the camera will like this one a bit more than it did my Kahlo and Rivera piece and I'll get to post it. Ah well.

Thanks, you guys, your comments really made my day! Very Happy
Yup, disconcerting was definately the effect I was going for with that first one! Wink I took it from a photograph I found of a man from India who belongs to the lowest caste, the Untouchables. He and his brother had acid thrown on them just because they were fishing in the pond of a man from a higher caste Sad I liked the idea of someone looking at a picture and not necessarily seeing something beautiful or pleasing to the eye (although I like doing that too, don't get me wrong Wink ) but seeing something very real and heart-wrenching and wanting to know more about it. I'd like to make more like that. I didn't think anyone outside my family and friends would ever see this one because I never thought I was very good. Thanks for all of your comments about the second one, it's one of my favorites!

Actually I found the picture hard to look at and so I don't look very long at it. I'm kind of used by some many people photoshopping pictures to look like that I assume you had created that effect. Now I know it was real I feel bad for not recognizing that. Embarassed Acid burns are horrible and painful and to have that done intentionally by anothe person is just unbelievably cruel. Yeah I know about the Untouchable caste - I have a rather critcial opinion about India's caste system because it can be very inhumane. I know is very un-PC to criticize another culture, but hey, I abhor that people suffer because other people think it's their right to make them suffer. It's so wrong on some many levels.

Anyhow, thanks for the explanation - it was enlightening. I commend you for that photo.

I have a gallery at elfwood (http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/n/o/nortala/nortala.html), and an art page on my homepage (http://www.home.kadreilia.com/art.htm), which hasn't been updated in a while. I'm currently building a new, semi-professional looking gallery site, I'll link when it's ready...

My favorite is probably Ewan McGregor, cause I remember how obsessed I was with Star Wars when I was 11 and I just HAD to do this one immediately lol Though back at 11, I used only graphite...oh well, still came out good for 7 yrs ago lol

The switching of counciousness between sleep and awake. The light and color differences are to express the freedom of the inner dwelling. Some report the ability to astral project, conduct lucid dreaming or do out of body experiences at will between the sleep and awake state.

To me it is mental conditioning to experience delusion or perhaps imagination that is believed in.

I made this on a doll making site some time ago, and I thought it was really neat how you could do this kind of thing here on the net.

I'm not a fan of the color pink... Also I can't turn fast enough to make a breeze, unless I have a large coat on.

What kind of coat makes a breeze?

A turn coat

I put a couple in the gallery here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/asperger.html?name=coppermine&file=thumbnails&album=132

These are pretty much the first pictures I have done. There was one more a few years ago, bu tI will have to look for it, and I am out of room on the gallery here.

After looking, I am unable to locate my first picture, and now that I remeber it, I remember it fondly. Ah well. I did also do my current avatar a few years back.
