After Sophist told me about how scary The Ring was, I decided to rent it with my stepfather and mother. It was a so-so movie. The cursed tape was a little odd, though; it was a seemingly random collection of images.

It had its scary moments, but overall I wasn't traumatized.

The japanese version is a trilogy, which includes Ringu 0

Ive not seen any version yet (saving them for later), But i thought it might be amusing (next time its broadcast on terrestrial tv) to tell urge everyone i know to tune in. Then, after it finishes make a series of prank calls - Good idea?

How was "The Ring 2" I liked the first Ring but I've heard nothing but bad stuff about the sequel...

A lot of people will tell you that the original Japanese version is the best, but I've seen it and I don't think thats really true

Yeah, same here. How was the 2nd Neant?

I saw Ringu as well and was rather disappointed.

Yeah, Neant, I didn't think you'd be too bothered by it. It's just me...

The Ring only had one scary part, the rest was just weird. Have yet to see the second, don't think it's worth renting.

The Ring 2 was about 2 hours of wasted time. If you're considering renting it or buying it, perhaps you should consider burning your money instead.

I will download it off a newsgroup then delete it without watching it as a protest to its poorness....

well perhaps to be more precise:

The Ring 2 is a different sort of scary movie. The creators, knowing that the audience would be expecting a scary film instead did something shocking and made a nice little family story about a woman and her son. Very heartwarming.
