Does my dad some kinda mental problem? Last tuesday my mom asked him a question about one of my medical tests and he went ballistic screaming at her for something he imagined she was saying.
he does this all the time. Somebody will talk to him or some inocous thing will happen and he will start delusioning that someone was saying or doing something to him when it really was him doing it. he will then become abusive, and later make up a fake apology blaming the other person. |

It seems to me that untreated AS could lead to a lot of anger, because you don't know what's going on with you, so it's frustrating.
But also could be personality disorder, post-traumatic stress, or possibly some level or form of paranoid schizophrenia--maybe schizoid personality.
That's a tough one. I hope you have ways of taking care of yourself until you can go out on your own. Your poor Mom.
Good start to get opinions from the group and share about it.

Or he could just be a really frustrated person or hate drs like my dad, my dad routinely starts screaming when someone asks hima routine question..... it is annoying obviously but funny how quickly it starts to seem common place....
i hate it though......its ridiculous and scary. he wouldnt hurt anyone but he does get awfully mad. |

it not just that he screams, he says things that arent real.
He has done worse. He has hit me on several occasions and absouluty denied it later. He has also gone around telling people that i had violent reactions with my brother, when really my brother was hitting me. |

Just had a thought in my mind that is probably unrealistic: "Get a video camera." Nice to think for a moment that that might help.

| he also has no sense of morality/ethics he lies very readily and hes good at it, his voice has charming melodic quality to it, and he smack ed the dog when it was a puppy. |

Throughout my life my dad has treated me in ways that have deflated my morale and destroyed my already fragile self perception. He categorically denies ever hitting me, insulting me or embarrassing me in public. I suspect I have AS so maybe its possible he has it to, or possibly some other pdd which has never been treated.
This can definately lead to frustration. I think it is also possible that your results could have made your dad feel insecure about himself, and thus used aggression in order to get rid of those feelings. |

That was one of the signs that my epilepsy had returned this year. I was getting extremely angry at people for saying or doing things they never had, and then going on a vendetta against them when they not only refused to apologize, but refused to admit they had done such a thing (now that I know I have to question every time I was upset with someone for at least the past year)
I even got kicked off an internet forum because I was convinced one of the mods had it out for me after he deleted my post - once I was able to see a copy of the post I realized it wasn't anything like I thought I had wrote and that he had valid reason for deleting that, but there was some policy in place preventing the mods from showing me it, so it took 9 months before I got a friend to get a copy for me. After being on the medicine and looking over the situation, I found that not only did he not "have it out" for me, he had been bending over backwards to keep me from receiving the required "punishment" for my actions.
As a child, I'd run around and threaten to kill people when i had a seizure (once even chasing my siblings with garden tools). Then I'd tell others about how those people had threatened to kill me. Thank god that didn't happen this time, as I would have ended up in jail for it |
