I "got away" with this because you called me slow to begin with, and before that, you were verbally abusing and bullying Orwell and any member that disagreed with you.
Also, you condescended to me, talked down to me (you noted this yourself), insulted my nationality (you called me a "stupid little American), and made general insults to anyone that believed in a god. I made my "insults" purposely preposterous and ridiculous so they would be taken with a grain of salt. But in all seriousness, I was rather over the top, and if I hurt your feelings, I genuinely apologize. I didn't intend to hurt your feelings, but you were really behaving like a bully on that thread and you got my temper going a little. But come on, I'm apologizing for hurting your feelings and getting carried away, the least you could do is admit that you started this flame war when you started being mean to everyone.

go back to page 3-4 of that religion thread, i'm sure you can't miss that Orwell was the one who actually started getting nasty. Yeah I shouldn't have started on you, but I was in a corner, with about 5 others on my back, so i'll bite anyone who's not on my side. Sorry for what I said. Bullies usually work in numbers, I was on my own, there were plenty of you. I was only actually attacking religion untill Orwell got personal. |

The fight seems to have started because Orwell corrected benjimanbreeg.
There's nothing wrong with correcting people, but Owell did it quite rudely:
