He recently told that i had never done any school work ever because of apsergers. THis is not true. I did homework up until the six grade when i was severly bullied and the learning curve went up. He also said that apsergers is a problem where the brain doenst function.
He blames everything i ever did or did not do on aspergers and
absouletly has never taken the slightest resposiblility for his child. HE sees everything that happens as someone elses fault
and everyone esle has the problem. He remebers things that never happened and has severe trouble with logical thinking. |

he may be delusional, it may be safe to suggest he may also be AS? _________________ a great civilisation cannot be conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within- W. Durant |

ok but here is a tip
AS arent logical.....literal yes, but not logical.
it is a common spock like association and misconception.
AS are often precise, accurate correct but rarely right and often not logical. _________________ a great civilisation cannot be conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within- W. Durant |

Regardless of whether he's AS or not...telling your child things like that is just hurtful.
And what if part of it is true? I know that there are times when my father said very hurtful things to me, and some of it was true. I had to get over it and deal. I had to take responsibility for the parts that I had to. It didnt' make it easier to take the rest of it, mind you.
Who knows why certain parents behave as they do? I would never be like that with my children. I try and be supportive and understanding. And when they fail, I try and help them figure out a way to succeed. However, sometiems they don't want to succeed, so I must accept that as well.
Sometimes we put up resistance that frustrates others, and they get upset. I know this to be true. We also could use a slightly thicker skin.
Anyhow, just rambling here. |

I'm really sorry you have to deal with that. That would be really hard.
My parents never really judged my oddness like that. I was lucky that way. It was safe to be quirky me there.
I hope you feel it is safe for you to be you here. Looking back, I think it really helped me alot to have somewhere to go where I could take of the coat and mask so to speak. _________________ Do I contradict myself?
