i agree - to a point. the office can be really great. but it can also be pretty lame........ i love creed. my favorite creed moment is when he dyed his hair to look 30. i also like andy a lot. i like it when he 'totally flips out.' actually, i heard ed helms (andy) almost got the part of gob on arrested development.

and i think mindy kaling is pretty hot............. i think the american version really captures the atmosphere of a typical office ----------- lame, with moments of intense boredom and extreme, desperate attempts at living. yuck!

this season, tho, the office goes between really terrific and funny and ---- wha? is happening here? is this a comedy? did they fire the writers this week? jeeeeeze. it's not as great as arrested development. that show is like get smart, sledge hammer, f troop, and soap --- with liberal doses of airplane glue and aquanet.

I haven't seen the British one, but I like the American one just fine. I also agree about Dwight maybe being an aspie, or maybe it's just his twin he absorbed XD.

Maybe The Office was remade in US because life in a British office is probably different than what we would relate to in the US? I like The Office because it reminds me of people I used to work with (yes in an office setting). The characters seem so real as I know someone like almost everyone in the cast. We also had the same human resources BS meetings that they feature on Office. Laughing

Oh and the first time I was introduced to The Office was when my supervisor made us watch 2 hours of it at a pizza party. Uh yeah and one of those episodes was the very tacky one about sexual harrassment and erm maybe wasn't a very polite thing to force people to watch. Well I just thought that was ironic.
