Yes, but it is more than that. David Icke, a conspiracy theorist, is the person who popularized the idea that there are actually Reptillian people among us. He sees them as being in charge of the supposed "Illuminati." Icke means that literally. He really believes they are Reptillian (reptillian brains, etc.). _________________ Mark A. Magnus, here is the result of my quiz. They are unsurprising to me. I have superior physical development but impaired social and executive function:
Edited to add: It occurs to me that this is sort of the ideal profile for the obsessively committed, beautiful research assistant. Too bad engineering professors are too personally deformed and immature to handle me properly.

I knew someone who claimed to be reptilian. This was many years ago, and not in the context of some social movement. He had a brain injury and said that his personality had not fully recovered, and most of his behavior was consistent with his reptile brain. He was fairly emotionless and a kind of basilisk(?) stare. But I didn't know him before his fall, so don't know if that was normal for him. It's not a stretch to imagine him basking on a rock with those unblinking eyes, watching. |

I think New Agers call Asperger Phenotypes (pre-Asperger) "Indigo Children" and full blown Aspergers "Crystal Children". They have moving, inspiring renditions of AS traits to support the taxonomy. Kind of appealing, actually. Descriptions earlier in the thread. |

Icke and his "followers" simply use the term "Reptillian" as an way of characterizing those they dislike (mostly certain business and political leaders).
Delusions are rampant. What is fascinating is how Icke has managed to turn his own personal delusion into a collective delusion. _________________ Mark A. Foster, Ph.D. (full-time & tenured sociology professor)

hehehe, I can relate to that. Wouldn't it be nice to be married to a brilliant scientist.

Indigos are highly empathetic. Aspies are not necessarily Indigos although many Indigos are very high functioning aspies who are extremely empathetic. They are sensitive and intense. Most people born after 1975 have the potential to be Indigos. Many do not reach their full potential.
Crystals are born after 1990, and there are a lot of them, are not just autistic. They do not have as much struggles because the Indigos have opened doors for them. They are purer souls.
Indigos know who they are and they don't let people get in their way or wrongly influence them.
Crystals don't have to prove anything.
If you are an Indigo, you do not tolerate BS and people can't get one over on you. You stand up for yourself and the underdog. You crave justice and will fight for the good cause.
All the information you need about this phenomenon is free on the web. It is knowledge within you if you trust yourself to rely on your own brain and heart. There is much more money to be made in medicating and "educating" away these inherent traits. Think for yourself. Don't be so quick to say that new age philosophy is garbage.
Doreen Virtue has written much about Indigos and Crystals. Here is a video if you are interested.

Maybe if he was also on the track team, is a great cook and knows how to do his own laundry... actually I dated a guy like that but he was a medical researcher, at another college. You have to go to med school or law school if you want professors to be in good physical condition, because they will make time to play squash during lunch and stuff like that. For some reason, this medical researcher didn't strike me as a professor, tho. He was a daredevil with a motorcycle, an oenophile and had his own lab. I think the medical guys are more like doctors who happen to work on a campus.
Thanks! Really interesting. |

Ok, this is confusing now. I LIKE basking on rocks and staring lidlessly at things.
Can I be reptilian and ultra-violet both?
An ultra-violet reptile?
I like the sound of that. It'd look good under Exile. Better than those bird names. (except for Phoenix, of course.)
