True or False:

1.The decode unit coordinates and controls the operations and activities taking place within the CPU
2.Pipelining increases the number of machine cycles per second
3.Storage devices can be internal (located inside the system unit), external (plugged into an external port on the system unit), or remote (located on another computer).
4.Storage media are volatile
5.With rewritable optical media, the laser permanently alters the disc surface
6.The memory used for disk caching can be a designated portion of RAM and/or memory chips located on the circuit board inside the hard drive.

Thanks alot!

You really could just read your textbook. Failing that, Google is your friend.

You should really think about dropping this course you're taking in college. If you're unable to answer these true/false questions, then you are probably going to fail the course. Drop the course soon rather than later. At least you may get some of your money refunded to you.

Or you could just read the textbook. The answers are in there.

Otherwise, Fuzzy is right. You're gonna fail this course if you don't study for the class.

School started early for you. I assumed most of the colleges/universities in Maryland started in late january. I just assume that because my school doesn't start until the 26th. I haven't even signed up for half of my classes yet

..a lot of this would be useful if you're going into Integrated Circuit design. I've had to learn most of this stuff in various training classes over the decades...but a lot of the questions I started going 'well, it depends on the architecture, or what you mean by....Wink

You're the one who has to learn this stuff. If we're doing homework for you, I think we need some renumeration for it...whaddaya think, folks?...Wink

Agreed. This is a tech field, you have to learn it yourself. Now... if it was maths and you were going in to bake cakes, that would be a completely different proposition.
