He then went on to say that they ought to wait like evrybody else and made some kind of motion about kicking them in the chest. How would he like it if I kicked him in the balls!

Mencia can be funny, and has made some pretty hilarious societal observations, but at times he's just blatantly racist (I'm not talking about using ethnic slurs in a satirical manner like he frequently does). In particular against middle eastern and Japanese people ("Japanese people shouldn't be allowed in Pearl Harbor").
And I have to say how happy I am that no one has mentioned the plagiarizing d-bag that is Dane Cook. He was mediocre by himself, but his popularity amongst the frat house a-holes just pushes him way over my limit to be able to stand. |

Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey.
The low frequency of people mentioning Bailey in this topic is disturbing.

HUMAN SLAVES IN AN INSECT NATION! | I have only seen Eddie Izzard on Mystery Men and My Super Ex Girlfriend. He was great in both of those movies, I'll see if I can find his stuff where I get a lot of my DVDs. |

| I am a gigantic fan of Doug Stanhope. He is unlike any other comic I've watched or heard. He's quite vulgar, and has very liberal views, but his jokes not only contain a lot of intellect but a huge amount of comedy. Here, watch some of this:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9016888315496279146. After the initial intro part of the movie he starts talking. Start the vid at 2:24 if you don't want to see neon green nipples. |

I'm not sure he would technically be called stand-up comedian, but I used to think Gallagher was funny. He was the one with the Sledge-O-Matic and the smashing of foods and stuff.
At one of our teaching seminars several years ago, I got to hear Professor Carl Hurley, "the world's funniest professor." I thought he was very funny.

Happy Cole?! I'm surprised to see him listed here. I worked on a cruise ship a couple years ago, and he was one of the ship comedians. He's really nice. He was the only one I had heard of, having seen him on Premium Blend once. |

| My all-time favorites are Bill Cosby, Steve Martin and Bob Newhart. But I do like Mitch Hedberg, Bill Hicks, Demetri Martin, Jim Gaffigan and many others as well. |
