I have definitely hated the schooling I've received as well. It is frustrating being told what to learn and at what pace to learn it at. Also the enforced discipline is stupid and pointless - formal wear, tucking in shirts, not being allowed to talk while in class for 90% of the time.

The administrators of the large high school I went to were very nasty and two faced; sometimes they would say good morning to you and other times they would shriek at the top of their voices about some very minor so-called discipline infringement. What a load of bullshit!

On top of this I also did not manage to build any long standing friendships with any of the students at the school. So I think any benefit of being around other people at school was lost on me. Home schooling would have been a better option for me. I think that I should rely more on general resources like libraries and the internet, than on institutional learning in the future.

Yep, I also think I wasted so many years in schools. Dropping out from high school would make no difference to me, since I think I can learn more outside school. I am basically just doing assignments and listening to crap in school and that's sad, isn't it?

What makes it worse --- when our teachers are moronic, most of us are unable to overcome it... And we do not have the complete learning experience due to the limitations of the school. Sigh, I always enjoy hiolidays in which I can learn at my own pace... I hope there are 11 months of holidays each year, and the only month in school will be only assesments for the next level...Razz

I ****ing hate school! I told my parents that I wanted to drop out of school and become an author, but guess what? They say I can't do that! EVEN IF THE SCHOOL PROGRAM I'M AT RIGHT NOW IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE COMPULSORY!

Society: "You don't have to attend this school. It's voluntarily."
Me: "All right, I'll just drop out and shape my own future."
Society: "LOL no you can't, because everyone else is attending school at this age and you will be failure for the rest of your life if you don't, since you are courageous enough to be different from everyone else!"
Me: "WTF."

I thought things were about to get so much better for me because I was told I could be educated in a small group, never have to do PE again, and so many other awesome things. Then I find out that they can't do any of those things! Bloody social workers clearly can't tell their arse from their elbow! Also, I have one day to pick all new GCSE subjects as they offer different courses at my new school, and most of the options are crap compared to my old school.

Don't you just HATE when you think you see hope and then BAM, they snatch it away!

I'm definitely going to take promises with a pinch of salt in the future, especially from social workers who are like lawyers in disguise if you ask me (ie. only there for the cash).

I usually don't hate schools, but there have been times when I have been very, very dissipointed about how some teachers has chosen to do education. Education through Sweden has been a HUGE dissipointment for myself and I often see internet as the source of all learning. I have learned very much by myself and this has been and still is the best method for myself.

I have never had the "I hate school" attitude very much, although I as many others have had my bad days where I have felt that I wished I wasn't there.

I often feel that I want to do things my way and as an adult I feel that I can do this nowadays, especially when I'm sitting with my blog and blogging.

I have had bad experiences during my time in schools with some people which didn't like me very much and I'm happy that I'm not there at the present. I live a pretty good life at the present with much freedom but with a very low economy.

once i got grabbed in the throat by a teacher and choked againsted the wall.
i stabbed him teacher with a stiletto and then stoopd over the body...and laughed. i got expelled forever, and got sent to cort for assault, but the judge threw the case out as self defence Cool ! one of my high times... the school district is indifferent in the south and for the most part, shitty in inner city chicago. im in 7th grade in AEP from the incident discribed above, but ive been getting 100s in all my subjects by sleeping through class while people throw rocks at me or shoot me w/ spitballs while the indifferent teachers ignore it, and then just doing the work they [teacher(s)] lay on top of my head. the teachers hate me because they know im smarter then they, and they try and make me conform to their idea of "proper behavior" which i call bullshit. they enjoy screwing with me and occasionally forse me to remain awake during a class and forcing me to wear shoes & socks (i hate the feel of them.) once i was about to burn down the AEP complex and was standing there w/ the motor oil, but a CPD car parked in the lot so i bolted Razz

i drink vodka raw and enjoy the taste. i also enjoy martinis, and whiskey on the rocks.

I experienced this all of my life. It sucked. I hated school, absolutely hated it. I thought all standardized tests were stupid as well. A school counselor told my mom that I should go to a special trade high school because I would be lucky to graduate. That person was fired because my mom raised hell. School was incredibly boring. Most of the teachers talked too much about nothing. They could sum up everything they were trying to teach in five minutes. It wasted my time. I won't even talk about the peer stuff.

So - I said screw it. Screw everything. I will go farther than these people who think they know it all, so I became a school psych and got another degree in school counseling LOL.
I figured I could understand more than most people so I need to use my completely crappy experiences for good.

Everyday I try my best to make it a better experience for these students because the crap I went through was the worst.

Not all teachers suck, really. It's just that most of us writing in here have had the pleasure of horrible teachers - like me. There are truly good ones out there. My 5th grade teacher and two teachers in high school were good. The rest of them pretty much sucked and caused me to go into deep depression and feel worthless to society. Oh well. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be where I am at today because I wouldn't have felt the need to say "screw it". After depression, I ended up getting this intense drive to succeed - to get higher than them and be able to help these children.

Getting through college was hard. I am a bit oppositional so actually conforming to what a teacher wants and expects was hard. Conforming for me was the most difficult.

That is what I encourage all of you. Don't let them win - don't. Use that for motivation. Don't let them get the best of you. If you can't finish school, find another way around the whole schooling to get to where you want to be.

My school okay, but it sucks at the same time. I feel segregated because of how
so many people don't understand you and it makes it hard for me to people that
are like me. Our school as litertly has no freedom of expression. You can't where
any type of hairstyle, no peircing's, no "distracting" clothing, and you can't have
a beard or anything! Just a mustache! It's bullshit! That's only half of it, but it's
violating expression! "I think." I also think the guys who run the school don't care
about the students and their world of perception and wave their so called "strong arm
of the law" and make us feel little feel like we are in boot camp.

I'll do something about eventully. All I need is to rally up some people and bring our
message to the school councel. I'm not putting with this sh**! I'm gonna let voice get
heard, not stay silent and let things go as they are!

Gina, I hate to break it to you but the schools only give a f**k about their own funding and athletics is what brings in the most funding. The truth is that they will make promises to you only to shut you up for a while and manipulate to where it was not their fault and hey could do nothing about it. The truth was they were and are never going to fulfill their promises they make.
