Some college here. I had to drop out because I was accused of "stalking" two male staff memebers.

I attended a small private college for my BA in math & philosophy. It was smaller than my highschool! ( 5 - 15 students per class, 250 in my graduating class)

For grad school I went to UNC, a HUGE place, but the math grad department had only 20 students, so I had a refuge, and a small office I shared with 3 girls who rarely showed up.

Now I teach at a small private college, 5 to 20 students per class. Life is funny that way Laughing

I attended community college straight out of high school, then transferred to a University of California and did drugs (it was the 70s--I was undiagnosed but already in need of something to help me get through a given day by the age of 12). No surprise, I flunked out. I returned to a Cal State University in my early thirties (I wrote a convincing letter of intent) and got the opposite: straight As.

When I was in my late teens/early twenties, illegal drugs sedated me against the massive crowds of people at college and the changing environment. But drugs as a coping tool turned out to be a really bad plan, and I had to quit.

Being in school later, especially grad school, gave me a great sense of order and direction, and fed my need to always have someone validate that I am doing something the right way. The campus I attended had over 30,000 students, so it was pretty hard walking around, but I figured out ways to get around the crowds and stayed in the library a LOT.

I ended up with a master's of fine arts in creative writing (see note above re letter of intent).

I'm finishing up my second year of community college, and am transferring to UNC and jumping straight into my major which means I won't have to attend any of those 50+ people intro classes.

The campus is huge but my major is Interdisciplinary, which means I pick and choose specific courses from three different majors. Those three majors are Asian Studies (Japanese), Folklore, and Religion (Non-Western) all of which will be very small classes.

I hope to get a master's in Translation and Interpretation of Japanese (to pay the bills) from Monterey, and get a PhD. from Duke in their Asian Studies Institute focusing on the shamanic attributes of Shinto.

So hopefully I'll be in small classes the whole way through.

I just got accepted to PLU, and I'm planning on getting a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then go on to graduate school to become a psychiatrist.

2 BAs: Archaeology and Cultural Geography
1 MA: Modern French History

The Ph.D will come later...in 19th century European Historical Geography (if only a university had this specialty!)

I would spend my whole life in school if I could.

I still do not have an official diploma although I have enough credit for almost two, but I take tons of classes in different departments.

I should get a BA Honours in sociology with minors in interdisciplinary studies in sexuality, biology and finance by the end of this school year.

Then, if everything goes as planned, I will get my B. of Health Sciences in Midwifery starting next year at the same time as I do a

Masters in sociology of medicine or something similar.

Then I'll be able to get a doctorate and perhaps another undergraduate or masters in biology, physics or organic chemistry.

I love to learn but I do most of my learning outside of school. I actually buy textbooks and class notes from courses I'm not taking.
