Yeah I just saw that, but wasn't sure if we meant the same thing 'cause you started mentioning gut conditions and other things. But we do!
It's interesting that you thought that, ( about the gut etc ), because it reminded me that in early infancy/babyhood the gut walls are not yet completely "sealed"/protected, ( which is why it is so important to breastfeed for as long as possible etc ), which means that it is perfectly normal for a baby to have a "leaky gut", through which opioids would "naturally" pass, making milk even more desirable.
It would mean that wheat, ( containing gluten ), eaten in babyhood/before the gut barrier is fully in place, would have an opioid effect, on all babies. Dr. Karl Reichelt has been studying the possible effects of food opioids on the structure of the developing brain, and its impact on experience of the world in babyhood, ( and after ), and a person's use of their brain, etc. The gluten-eating West ( science, religion, culture incl. writing, etc ) certainly developed significantly differently to the rice-eating ( gluten-free ) Far East.
