I don't know why. But I haven't had much contact with people around my age group for a long time now. Especially for the past few years. I just want to just see who around here is around this age range. I am 27 yrs.

I feel better if I try to have some contact with peers in this age group, just to gain a little more experience. And it makes me feel a little more comfy as it is where my mind plays.

I'll be 26 next month!

So are you male/female? And what are your obsessions?

I think the 25-30 range is when having AS really hits home. This age signifies the begining of the in your life that having close adult friends is important. When you have trouble making them you can really get lonely. Social activities are suddenly different and what happened...how did everyone turn into an adult? Remember when we were all just kids? No kidding...what's wrong with all those people? My childish sense of humor paired with my tendency to argumentitivley pontificate doesn't really drum up the friends. If everyone knew that I was just trying to show my sense of humor and also be factual and helpful!

For me, I feel there was a delay in some social interaction. I also feel that I am at the point where I am like an adult. But I still have that restlessness that I have had as a child. Though I did delay myself further for the past several years. I feel I am starting anew where I should have been earlier.

This leads to more of a frustration situation for me, I don't like it much, but it is the deck of cards I played. I feel I am much younger in contact because I never had much of a chance to build up in those days. Especially when I wanted to somewhere in my mind and soul. I also feel it slowed down what I wanted to do. But that was also due to fear of failing and impatience in building up my interests.

I've never found socialization to be important, if there was no computer I wouldnt be doing it near as much, as if this counts entirely. The computer has no facial gestures, no eye contact, no tones of voices or near as much unpredictability.

One thing I have noticed about people with A.S online in my age range is they are going to college, working or driving. Few are much like me it seems, age group or not. I suppose there is a varying functionality of A.S or Higher functining capacitations.

Still though I do not really know what is different about me from others, they just seem caught in these patters of human normality similarites while I observe.

Of course it is just text things on my screen, it all seems a bit funny.

Anyone else like that?

Okay, I started this because I feel I have fallen behind my peers. For the past couple years I feel as if i didn't care about interacting much. It kinda started earlier than that. AT first I was desperate to get more involved. I don't know if i was scared or if I was unique in not being to attached into interaction. Now as I snapped out of a stagnant phase. I became alert that I am a little older. I fear I won't catch up at all. I fear that I wasted my time on useless dwelling. Now I can't beat myself up on this ordeal but I know that I want to return to my interests and avoid the overthinking that stressed me out for too long now.

I'm 30 and live in a town with a load of teenagers and even more retired people.

It's great, no, really.

I'm 25, and for quite a while (ending last year), I hardly had contact with anyone (aside from my family and an online forum).

Though even now I still go without speaking with anyone for days at a time (though posting on webforums has gotten to obsession-level)

Well I'm not the only one..

There are a lot of things I still want to do. But that would mean being around a lot of teens or college-aged kids.

But then I never reallly did a lot of fun things at that age. But again, I'm not the only one.

Maybe not teens, but I do like being around children sometimes. Maybe because some are not afraid to come to me. Maybe I seem welcoming.
Adolescents, well I don't know.
Younger adults, I may mingle with a few.
Older adults, I think many want to talk to me.

I am 26 and feel about ten years behind everyone else socially. I have real friends for the first time in my life and have only recently discovered how relaxing a drink in the pub can be (I was strictly teetotal for years and have never actually experienced being drunk)

I'm 30, but I look much younger. I feel the same as you. As I grow older, it feels like I'm almost stuck in time. I have friends my age but as they get married and move on with their lives I'm almost forced to fall in with my younger friends. The part of the condition that separates me from all the normal people makes this feeling worse, like I'm trapped outside of time looking in and watching the world go right by. Dating is horrid -- I keep repeatedly attracting 19 to 20 year old girls (when I was 25 to 28, that was really cool, but it really blows now).
