I absolutely hate being cold and feel it more intensely than others. Everyone will be complaining of the heat while I have the heating on full and wear a jumper.
I hate HATE HATE the sound of fabric being rubbed together. Even if someone dusts down their jeans or rubs their hand over fabric in a store I'll go crazy inside. It starts off as a tingling in my palms, turns into a full body judder with my shoulder blades contorting and then my head kind of spasms and shakes. This all happens in probably under one second. Even If I can't actually hear it, I'll think about what the sensation would feel like for me and it has the same affect. It's a touch thing for me too, my palms are sensitive and can't touch anything rough or I get the same feeling.
I hate bright light so always have soft lamplight at home. Ceiling lights give me a headache and my eyes can't adjust to the brightness. I hate bright sunshine as well. |

Hmm...
Chalkboards.
Chalk.
Hearing and seeing people rub their shoes on carpet or carpet-like materials, makes me just cringe for some reason.
The high-pitched sound a tv makes when it's on but not on any channel(like when the cable box is off but the tv is "on")... so the screen is blank and you can't hear any regular tv show noise coming from it, but you know it's on because it's making that high-pitched noise... but it starts getting annoying because it's just that noise without the usual stuff that accompanies it and distracts you from the "tv on" sound.
The really soft tissues/kleenex, especially the ones with lotion in them(i opt for paper towels when i have a runny nose, thank you very much. toilet paper is my second choice... the really cheapo plain tissues that most people hate is kind of okay too)
People bumping into me.
Crying and screaming children(screaming people on a rollercoaster is perfectly fine for some reason, though)
People yelling and arguing.
Phones ringing.
Most really high-pitched things(when i was little, i can remember the sound of someone playing the triangle in a music class making my eyes water. cricket chirping is nice, though)
Fire alarms.
Walking outside into the daylight after being in a movie theatre("where'd everyone go?! i can't open my eyes!!!").
Any and all noise occuring while i'm trying to listen to something else.
Most of this i can tolerate to an extent(i work as a salesperson. yay me. so i get a lot of it on a daily basis), but it still annoys me, and too much at once or while i'm already frustrated about something gets me acting a little strange. All in all, i think there are more strange little sensations that i like than ones i dislike though... |

People screaming really loud
being overwhelmed such as when things get crazy at work and since I just started, I dont know where everything is yet, and the person who is supposed to train me is nowhere to be found....I am left having to try and navigate my way around a supermarket I barely know myself, to help a customer get what they want.I did manage to get the customer what they wanted.I dont have to severe of sensory issues to have meltdowns , and have never had one as far as I know, but doggonit, I felt like I was going to have one at the end of the day....instead, I managed to drive home, and take a nap, than have a cold glass of rye whiskey and cola...and post on WP. _________________ Honour over deciet, merit over luck, courage over popularity, duty over entitlement...dont let the cliques fool you for they have no honour...only superficial deciet.

People who eat like pigs and chew with their mouth open making loud chewing noises.
Very loud Harleys that go roaring by.I like motorbikes and I own a dirtbike myself, but the loud harleys really are annoying..it basically causes me to want to cover my ears and curl up in a ball.
When people screech at the top of their lungs. _________________ Honour over deciet, merit over luck, courage over popularity, duty over entitlement...dont let the cliques fool you for they have no honour...only superficial deciet.

Light touches.
Stale/stagnant/unmoving air. That's the worst. If I'm in a place where the air doesn't circulate at least a little, it drives me crazy.
For a while when I was a kid, reddish-orange colors gave me a sort of headache.
Wet mouths gross me out horribly. |

I hate being tickled, makes me very agitated.
Loud sudden noises.
I hate when people spit when they talk and it lands on me, it's about the way it feels, not about germs.
I despise feeling bored.
I yelled "*&%$ OFF!!!" in someone's face once when they showed me a cut on their hand. Surprise blood is no fun.
Strobe lights.
The sound of the heater fan in our car.
Sirens.
Kids crying. |
Siren, yes! do you have to cover your ears? I do, and people laugh. People are stupid in their ignorance. FIREWORKS!!! Torture every year. Some people leave because of the noise. Cant take babies crying .. TRY BEING ON A LONG 40 HR BUS RIDE TRAPPED WITH THAT .. I WAS. THIS IS WHY I CANT TAKE PUBLIC BUSES. TERRIBLE, isn't it? |

Hearing the sound nylons make when either myself or another women walks when the legs rub together
Lotion on my hands
Seeing someone else use lotion
Soap on my hands
Seeing someone else use soap
(Yes I use soap to wash with, I just rinse off as fast as I can)
Cutting my fingernails too short
My hands getting too soft and slimey from using cleaning products or bleach
Chalk
Soft loosened dirt on pavement and the ground either one, esp when it touches my bare feet
Loudness of anything (I have Meniere's and my ears ring 24/7 and is super loud and I have trouble with sounds and voices being too loud (hypercusus? dunno) yet I am losing my hearing.)
Dirty hands. I wash them about 15 times a day.
Certain fabrics like satin and when satin is rubbed together. The feel and the sound both. Some polyesters but not all polyesters bother me. And I would prefer a rough towel over a super soft towel.
And then I have some OCD issues like germs and things being uneven, etc. Oh and I have a hang up about spit, snot and mucus. I am not bothered by blood or guts at all. I could even be a surgeon and it wouldn't bother me a bit. But something about saliva, snot and mucus... bleck.
I'm sure there's more. I'll add more later if I think of something else. |
Wear Gloves for the cleaning.
WORST sensation in the world: uh I dont like to think about it.. digging fingernail accidentally against thumb or other finger.
. BEING CARRIED (UPSTAIRS, IN SOMEONE'S ARMS) does this frighten anyone else? makes me feel like I will fall.
. Someone Cracking their back or cracking knuckles! STUPID KIDS DID THIS IN HIGH SCHOOL ALL THE TIME.
. I hate hot blowers or any air blowers blowing on my face in public pools, etc.
.

I never understood that Benny and Joon quote. Explain. NO countries are known for their relationship to cheese. Not even Italy.. and I saw that film in 1993 when it came out. |
