^Most of the time, we go by Mason but George Mason has been used a good bit as well.

Portland State University
My sister goes there and she likes it.
There is a BIG community of out-of-state/international students
and diversity is taken very seriously at PSU.
PSU is a very good choice because it's
in the business district of Portland
and there is always something to do at Portland State.
Because PSU is very big, there are some perks to going to PSU.
1.} It is accessible by public transportation, bike, or if you're
feeling bold, by foot.
2.} Because of PSU's size, it's divided up into smaller colleges.
3.} Restaurants, parks, and public spaces are within a 10-minute
walk from the main PSU campus.
4.} A good sense of community and belonging.
5.} You have the option of being a "commuter student"
or a "student in-residence" because PSU is a public college.

I myself go to Portland Community College,
a smaller college with four campuses in the
Portland area. Diversity and individuality
are taken seriously and the professors
at PCC love to talk to the point of understanding.
http://www.pcc.edu is the website for PCC.
Like PSU, there are perks to going to PCC.
1.} Smaller class size
2.} No dormitories, PCC is a "commuter school."
3.} Individualized attention, but tutoring is NOT a service-on-demand.
4.} Professors will work with you to help you understand curriculum
5.} Four campuses within the Portland area and on each campus,
buildings are very close to each other.

Hmm, besides Mason and Portland Community College and Portland State University... and also UCLA and USC, I suppose, well, there must be alternatives to the offerings Singaporean schools provide... But I will act as a spoiler here.
I understand that some Singaporeans may not like local schools, and some just want to make new friends somewhere (including me), but as a Singaporean, I should add that actualy, there are certain schools after 'O' Levels that we can apply to.
As a response to Opor's comments on considering local universities:
We can apply to the New Media course in Republic Polytechnic if your L1R2B2 (or put it simply, your English plus your 4 best subjects) make up less than 25 points. It is also a rather good media course, just go for it! You can do it. If not (in 'O's)... Oh, this HAS the EASIEST ADMISSIONS we have in Singapore related to media. So too bad, you are, like me, a victim of rote learning in Singapore.
Alternatively, you can try JCs, but I bet you will feel bored studying if you head there... what does this got to do with media? No way man (even as JCs are the only viable route to Mass Comm in NTU...)
Portland Community College can be a good choice, too, if you complete something like GED or SAT or maybe even ACTs before you head there. And yes, there are few Singaporeans who are interested to go there. I have heard of my fellow friends going to NUS, NTU, SMU, Melbourne, Queensland, Auckland, ANU, Sydney, UNSW and even Purdue, Cornell and Penn State... But none to any school in Oregon or Virginia. (Mason is located in metro Washington DC area but is still located in VA) and so... If you want the experience of meeting new friends elsewhere (which is a huge challenge for Aspies) yeah, our answers colectively so far:

Would you be in a class

The typical class size at PCC is 25.
It doesn't matter if you take
your SAT or ACT, PCC takes
both SAT and ACT scores.
A placement test is a test of reading,
writing, and math that helps you
and your academic advisor to
find what classes meet your educational needs.
New PCC students must take the
placement test before registering.
