so? we have xbox live now. revolution isn't coming until 2006. so if i were you, i would wait until 2006 to worry about that. and this is an xbox live thread, not really the place for revolution

urgh... I tried to get Xbox Live the day I bought my Xbox but because of router issues, too much space in between my TV and my net connection, and my ISP being farking stupid I could never get it working  I still play Xbox every so often, but it has not gotten nearly as much play as my PS2 or Cube
and Psycholone: I did not know that! Thats made me even more excited for Revolution (even though we know pretty much nothing about the new consoles beyond specs at this point) |

I bought Xbox Live but haven't been able to use it. We don't have a cable that can reach the router from the Xbox, and Dad doesn't want a cable to run through the house. He suggests running it though the roof, but mum doesn't want a hole in the wall...
It's a moral dilema...... 
All I want to do is play a game, but it's not gonna happen. If I can I'll use my normal nick, actionman133. It's what I use for most sites, IMDb for example.

I have XBOX live, just hadn't gotten it hooked up yet. I suggest you buy a wireless router, which is what I need to get hooked up.

You don't need a wireless router... You can hook the Xbox up in a number ways... see www.xbox.com/connect

Besides, XBOX 360 is coming out in a few months, and it won't be worth it to use the Live kit I have, would it? Aren't they gonna have a new version of Live? DO I have to buy a new kit when I get my new XBOX?

| No Evilwalks, according to Microsoft you can switch the Xbox account over to 360 once you get one. I will be waiting to see which next generation console i think is best before i decide which one to get. Of course some people are so into games they get all the main machines. |

I went to Best Buy last night, and some kits said: XBOX 360 COMPATIBLE. Mine didnt' say that when I bought it. So I can still use it on XBOX 360?
