Do you ever have the feeling that you need people in your life who can share the same love for your interests and or your personality type? And you just fall into depression if you meet people that you can't relate to either way?

I usually find people who share my interests online, and speaking with them is enough to prevent me from falling into depression. But I'd be SOL If I suddenly got banned from my favorite sites.

If it weren't for the internets, I would not have ANYBODY to talk to about my special interests.

I am the same. I do get depressed when I try to talk to someone and they say nothing or have no interest in my words. Without the internet I wouldn't have a friend or anyone remotely to relate to.
