Not left handed, but my dad (who I suspect may be an Aspie) is. _________________ I do have beliefs that are complex, unconventional, and eclectic. If anyone has questions about them, feel free to refer to this thread:

| Aspie, I use both left and right. I'm "latheralized" only for writing but only because I was "corrected" when young, all the other things, playing with balls, using a gun, sex, etc.. left and right is the same. I usually use right as the "powerfull" arm and left as the "precise" one. |

Diagnosed autie. When I was a kid I was left handed, but a nun made me sit on it, until I was used to writing with my right hand. (Bloody nuns!)
My son, diagnosed aspie, is left handed, but was ambidextrous till a teacher said to him one day, "pick a hand you stupid boy." He had just switched his pencil to his left hand, so he stuck with that. (Bloody teachers!)
My Grandad was ambidextrous, not on the spectrum. |

My very ASish mom is left-handed (slightly ambi)...She has very strong AS traits
My paternal grandfather was born lefty, but forced to write with his right hand....(OCD...rigid...eccentric...Engineer...very poss. AS)
I am left-handed (slightly ambi) "Assessed" as having AS by a specialist, but not officially diagnosed..assessment agreed with by a Psychiatrist........Possibly PDD-NOS if not AS.
My very AS-ish friend is also a lefty...He has very strong AS traits
There have been several polls on this topic. There are more right-handed people on the board, but the ratio of lefties to righties seems like it is higher than in the general population. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/MsPuppetrina

I'm pretty sure I'm aspie (or at least some kind of PDD) and I'm more or less left handed. My right hand is usually stronger, but my left is more agile. I usually write with my left hand. I ALWAYS do math with my left hand, though. _________________ I don't understand this place anymore. |

I'm left handed, and almost completely right-handed-impaired...meaning, it's hard to do anything with my right hand. I'm a strong aspie, too. _________________ -Gil |

Right-handed, using it for writing and shaving, but I do lots of things with my left hand too (like opening doors with keys - that's something I'm not used to doing with my right hand). Though given how awful my writing is and how much my right hand hurts when writing, I've often wondered if I'm actually left-handed and don't know it...
Oh, and very likely AS, although I don't have an official diagnosis, it explains pretty much all of my life. |

Exactly what happened to me. When I say I was "corrected" I mean that they simply said to me to change hands.
For istance when I shave I use left hand for right part of the face and right hand for the left part. The same while washing teeth. |
