The weather here has just started to turn a little bit, and my body seems to have switched to winter-fat-storage mode even though I already have more body fat than I need. I am getting to be a wee tad wary of gaining weight...and need to really try to watch myself..Meanwhile, my partner has been trying to feed me creamcheese bagels before bed and stuff like that.

I really need to get into a serious diet and fitness routine...but it is hard to reprogram myself...

Things I am trying to do to keep the holiday weight gain at bay are

being MINDFUL of it...

juicing

jumping on the trampoline with hand weights

apple cider vinegar water

Have not been riding my bike like I used to, but need to start again....

I have a hard time resisting impulses...

My partner likes to eat big meals right before bed...and it is hard to refuse a few bites....

rawwrr....

Find a place to do situps like one day a week. They have helped me a bit. Make sure you keep your feet down though so near a couch or something stuffing your feet under to hold them down or something like that. I started with 10 rested the rest of the week and did 20 the next week. Then I went for 50 the next week. Taking a break around every 20 or so. Then I went for 60, 80, 100, 110, 120. I now do about 100 one day about once a week and I get nice sore feeling and so far I have lost about 20 lbs. Only takes like 30 mins or so depending on how many you do. If you don't get sore just increase the amount and stop yourself every 20 or so situps for a few minutes. Don't wanna pass out or anything. I did about 150 this week and it helped my thighs as well it seems. They were sore this week. A good plus is I haven't changed my eating habits or anything either. Smile

A magic one! Very Happy

Don't eat concentrated proteins and carbohydrates at the same meal. Eat starchy carbs like rice, corn, potato, bread and pasta, ( if you eat it ), with non-protein sauces, accompaniments, etc like salads, veg, fruit, creamy buttery spicy things, beans/lentils/chickpeas, etc, ... and eat concentrated proteins like egg, cheese, fish, meat, and soya, ( if you eat it ), with veg, salad, oils/fats, and fruit.

I have found over and over again that I can eat almost any amount of food if I follow that one rule, ( and it also seems to protect me from colds ).

Excluding gluten works too, if you are gluten-sensitive. Weight falls/melts off at an extraordinary rate.

Stuff in - stuff out = accumulation

It's simply a matter of cutting back on your normal meals to compensate for all the treats. No need for complex tricks. I've lost weight in three of the last five holiday seasons.

ehh, ive been having the issue too since i got fired like 2 months back. The weather in my area has been cold. Cold weather makes me bed down. I then get in the mind of wanting to excercise and stuff, but i refuse to go outside because of temps. (i have issues with highly sensitive to cold air, and working out while in my winter jacket would give me a heart attack from the sheer wieght of it. It is a 20lb survival jacket after all, and even then i still feel too cold. I cant afford to go to a gym or anything, and cant even afford stuff for at home, so i dunno what to do. I should play DDR again, but my pad is all screwed up sadly Sad
