Put on costume hoping one of my alleged friends would invite me to something. Handed out candy to trick-or-treaters. Took off costume after no call. Cried in dark. Ate remainder of trick-or-treat candy. Posted on Wrong Planet about it all.
That sums up my night. _________________ My fellow Americans. As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball, but tonight I say, we must move forward, not backward, upward, not forward, and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom. |

Yesterday evening, I drank green tea with pomegranate while reading a good book, which I finished. I browsed around on the internet, sent my boyfriend S an e-mail, and chatted with him on the phone. S, who is a medical student, spent the evening studying with friends, then playing Halo with them. Neither one of us did anything special for Halloween.
I enjoyed my Halloween night. While I was curled up with my tea, and my novel, I reflected on what a pleasant way that was to spend an evening, far more pleasant for me than some noisy, crowded party could ever be.
I honestly don't care that I spent my Halloween night in a manner that would be regarded as more appropriate for an 82 year old than a 28 year old. I enjoyed my evening, and that's good enough for me. _________________ I talked for hours to your wallet photograph

Oh I see. Sorry I thought what you meant by lighting was people putting brightly coloured, florescent lights everywhere and decorating tombstones while celebrating. Which would be highly disrespectful to the dead of course. I think I watch too much tv. My bad...
I feel like an idiot now. |
oh no dont! I realised it was me who put the words "light on graves" in a wrong way making you and Spazzergasm interpret it as above. I was the one who wasnt clear from the beginning! |
No, no, no don't worry, no harm done by anyone I guess. _________________ Only by reversing the flow of time itself, was he able to undo what he had done and defy his fate... but fate forgives no man. (PoP ~ WW)

| I would've stayed home to give out candy to the kids but I had to work. Besides I threw out my back during the day so I just returned home and slept. |

Didn't do anything special. I don't celebrate Halloween, it's only been in Denmark for the last few years - in a very commercial manner. We didn't use it in my childhood.
But I did get a visit from some trick or treat kids, and fortunately I had some chocolate.
On the other hand we do have the celebration of All Saints Day in the church, where we remember our beloved ones who have died. We had an opportunity to light a candle in the church too. (Those in my family who have died are all buried far away from where I live, so I couldn't light a candle on their graves.) |
