Idiocratik - Thank you Drawing is everything to me.
Computerlove - I have graduated art school and love, LOVE illustrations, but currently am not making money with it - had to get a job to support my daughter, yadda yadda, fast forward 3 years, I am sewing full time and only sketch once in a while.. But I'll be back to it someday
Thank you for that! My favorite movie when I was grewing up was Neverending Story! Maybe there is some influence there...

well here is something i did lately.
the song is just a skeleton with no lead melody as yet, and the graphical quality is reduced because i had to compress the file so it would be playable from youtube without seizures for people with average download speeds..
the original file is 4.7 gigs and is crytsal clear and the color wash is not discernible as to its gradients.
this file is only 255 mb so i warn you that it is rather large for people with limited bandwidth, and it is only approx 1/20 of the original potential detail. just watch it in a small screen as it does not look so good when expanded due to the compression ratio..

I was inspired by some of the artwork in here so I ran up to walmart and grabbed me a sketch book and a mechanical pencil. After about an hour of filling up a page I came up with this:

I am new around here, and I love art. I have been painting and drawing for the better part of my life. I use both traditional and digital techniques, but I am fond of acrylics because of its' faster drying speed - I prefer to speed paint.
Also digital medium is a new and entertaining arena for me, having recently picked up a Wacom tablet and Photoshop, but I'm practicing, trying to translate formal traditional training into this new and wonderful medium.
Here are some of my paintings/drawings!:
Death Rider (Acrylics on canvas)
Sunset Dragon (Acrylics on canvas)
Abyssal Girl with Sword (digital drawing, tablet in PS)
