Most hated sensations, that would literally have to be wool, for everytime I've been around such material regardless of what it happens to be a blanket etc, I get itchy with rash _________________ Col. John Wilder: We won't ruin it.

Anything sticky, and I hate having wet hands. I always make sure they're dried really thoroughly every time I wash them, which is quite often given my aversion to sticky things.
Don't like getting my face wet either. |

Clothing tags
Bright sunlight
The smell of frying bacon -- makes me nauseous
Food with a slimy texture, such as cooked mushrooms or roasted capsicum
Hand lotion -- these days I use it because it's better than the alternative of scratchy dry hands, but I try to keep it to the backs of my hands and put as little as possible on my palms
Being tickled -- severe sensory overload |

Yes I'm sure it does, didn't realise these had to be unique to me I get plenty of bad sensory stuff mainly with smells being hideously pervasive and light being rather painful but I don't hate it, these things are just annoying to me not hateful even if they are painful. I do actually hate it when the headphones are pulled out though and it makes me very very angry so that's what I wrote _________________ read all the pamphlets and watch the tapes!

1. Being tickled. It makes me laugh hysterically, but it's not because it's funny or because I'm having a good time; it's just that I can't help it. I'll actually be insanely furious and will try my very hardest to kick, slap, claw, and punch the crap out of whoever is doing the tickling (my ex has several scars attesting to this - he just doesn't learn).
2. Shirt collars being too close to or touching my throat. I definitely can't sleep while I'm wearing a shirt with a collar that comes up above my collarbone, and only in the past several years have I been able to tolerate turtleneck sweaters (for a few hours at a time). They're really cute, and I'd like to like them, but I always feel like I'm being slowly strangled or choked.
3. Tags! I've always hated the scratchy tags in the back of my shirts, and I know I'm not the only one.
4. Light touching. I'm not much of a touch sort of person anyway, but if you're going to touch me, connect solidly. I hate things brushing up against me.
5. Sticky or dirty hands. Dirty is annoying, but sticky just drives me up the wall and I can barely think about anything else until my hands are completely clean. |

1) Cotton balls. I can't touch them. Actually, just thinking about them makes my hands hurt. When the preschool Sunday School class I used to teach (talk about a bad idea from the get-go) had a sheep-making project, I brought in frosting and marshmallows so I didn't have to touch cotton balls and glue. Twelve sugar-high 4-year-olds were better than touching cotton balls.
2) Being tickled. I will bite. The good thing is, nobody really touches me, so I don't have to worry about it too much, except when I somehow manage to tickle myself or one of my cats brushes the back of my neck.
3) Alarm clocks. It doesn't matter what sound they make, even if it's a song. I wake up hours before my alarm goes off every morning because I cannot handle forced change of consciousness. That forced change is a horrible feeling.
4) Extremely high-pitched noises. The last time I was subjected to one, I couldn't stop pacing around for over an hour.
5) Thunderstorms in general. They hit on all of the senses, and none in a good way! |

-Being sticky (only time I don't mind being sticky is when I eat baklava)
-Walking around campus and picking apart all the different conversations, making it just too much noise.
-People revving up their engines making that blurp sound from the mufflers.
-Can pick up the slightest body odor (and now that I've quit smoking, that sense is becoming stronger)
-Being accidentally rubbed or touched in the wrong manner, or by some people I just don't want touching me (some people I don't mind)
-Light being too bright; you'd think being in Florida you whole life would make you immune to that...but alas, I wear shades all the time. _________________ Every morning, blow up a really big balloon. Then, with ear plugs over your ears, slowly let all the air out of the balloon, letting it make that high-pitched sound. Tell your neighbors its a science experiment if they complain. |

There are so many and its depends on situation and mood, so to generalize being exposed to a society that does not work for me... sensory overloads the more I have to deal with society on its terms not my own..

Stickiness.
Crunching noises or crinkling noises. Somebody eating a bag of pretzels is one thing I dread. I also detest people who eat ice.
My clothing, especially the way it touches the hairs on my body.
A fork hitting my teeth. The dentist with the metal pick or the hygienist scraping plaque. I hate all things about the dentist. Even the vibrations of the toothbrush are torture.
Loud noises, naturally.
Kettle drums (screw you, Jane's Addiction) and steel guitar. Fortunately, neither are encountered much on NPR.
The sight or feel of the insides of cantaloupes, pumpkins, etc. The cluster of seeds and strings. I'm cringing.
Crumbs, dust, grit against my skin.
High-pitched sounds and voices.
Sirens. But somehow I always seem to live right by a fire station.
Electrical sounds (cracking, popping, hissing). And with that, bug zappers.
The color orange. I suppose some wouldn't consider it a sensation, but it is a part of sight. Also, octagons.
Denim. I wear it in the cooler months when I must because it's durable, but I try to avoid it.
A bug on me. Or sometimes watching it move. Even ones I like such as beetles and ants cannot crawl on me. |

Cotton balls or shirts that are made of very heavy woven cotton. I have to run in the opposite direction.
little hairs rubbing on me, my head drops alot of hair so my pillow is a frustratingly annoying to use at night
waking up by alarm clock. I get a bad stomach ache are are literally shaking as if I just missed crashing into someone.
tickled, seriously cannot stand it, i kick and punch as much as I can. laughing means "stop"
being covered tightly with a blanket, when i was younger my dad did this and to this day I cannot stand being under blankets or a sleeping bag.
laying on my side, i don't know what to do with my arms!
driving with other people, I'm constantly thinking "was the maneuver to harsh, do they think I'm a bad driver? Why did i take that turn like that?"
people speaking other languages other than english in public. YOU KNOW ENGLISH WHY IS CHOOSING YOUR SHIRT AT KOHLS SO SECRET?
loud noises that have no point, like tonight on the ride home, my dad and little sister were riding in the car. the radio was on, little sister was talking, and dad was trying to talk to me. I couldn't handle it at all, my hands were tapping really really fast and my mind was just screaming.
High pitched noise, like feedback on a microphone. HATE, because I can't function right afterwards.
electric hums and other electronic noises that shouldn't be happening. _________________ (\_/)

Ew, wool. XD
Hmmm...
I don't like some walls, like the paint used on some walls.. it's rough and toothy and weird. My walls are like that, but in the kitchen there's a smooth coating over them, lol. Maybe so steam and grease and stuff doesn't soak into them I guess.
I don't like drinking things that have powder/bits in them. Like, you know, at the end of a bowl of miso soup or cereal. (When it's the last cereal in the box and you get all the crumbs.)
The sound right before someone sneezes really loud.. like the "aaa" before the "choo". XD;; I dunno, it's like they're revving up, and so I start to anticipate it, but it's just a split second so there's not enough time for me to prepare for the "choo", so when it comes, it really freaks me out. If it's just a loud noise with no anticipation it doesn't bother me, (actually I like it because loud things are usually exciting) but those loud sneezes freak the hell out of me, lol.
Sweet potatoes. The texture. It makes me gag. I can eat pretty much anything, but not sweet potatoes. Bleh. _________________ "Things should be as simple as possible, but no simpler." - Albert Einstein |
