|
|
I just wrote a short story called Ferdinand and the Dinosaurs. It's about a teenage boy who is obsessed with dinosaurs and ostracized by his classmates for that, amongst other things. He finds a portal to another place in time where dinosaurs still exist, near the end of the Cretaceous period. He befriends a dinosaur and finds himself in danger several times as he explores to see more dinosaurs, while struggling with the decision to go back to his own time if he can ever find another portal. A lot of readers may not like the ending, but I do, so that's how I wrote it. Just a warning.
The story is too long to post in it's entirety here, especially since it's divided into 8 different parts, so I'm just going to link to each part, as I already have it posted on AuthSpot.com. (click on the links below):
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Part Four
Part Five
Part Six
Part Seven
Part Eight
Sorry if we're supposed to post all actual writing to the Writing Showcase sticky. I didn't actually see that rule anywhere, but I haven't seen many threads dedicated to anyone's specific writings. I think I've posted some things in the Writing Showcase thread before, but I don't think anyone ever actually read anything I posted there, so I made my own thread. That thread seems too saturated, so I don't think anyone is actually reading the majority of the work posted there.
Feel free to leave comments on any of the different parts of the story, or in this thread.
Thanks! _________________ ~*Jen*~

| I haven't read the full story all the way yet (I've so far finished page 2), but so far I like it. |
