I go to a specialist school and I love it. There are kids with a range of difficulties there, but no-one there is "Severely" (for want of a better word) disabled. I have friends there and people accept me as I am, I board there and it's become a second home. I don't get picked on if I want to pace the grounds in the evenings, or work in a small room by myself in the daytime, and my friends understand that I 'fill up' quickly - i.e a short conversation is enough for me, I can't socialize for long periods of time. I love being able to debate with staff there. The best thing about it is I am allowed to be who I am.
...oh dear, I think I've been rambling again. So yeah, what kind of school do you go to? Do you enjoy it? Why? |

| I attend a public school in Michigan and I absolutely hate it. It's difficult for me to make friends here and most people don't understand the things I do and say.My teachers for the most part are okay but I get in disagreements with them quite a bit and I get extremely stressed out during the school year |

I attend a public school and similarly, I get so stressed out in the school year that I want to cry and give up on my dreams! _________________ Ex amicitia vita |

Catholic Private School. Pretty good, people are nicer there in general and I have a few friends but none in my class cus I'm in the smart class and I don't make smart friends. I prefer the accepting kind. _________________ A quote from Theordor Seuss Geisel

| I go to an arts high school! Been going here since 9th grade an I also board! I love it! Everybody is so fun and loving! There's never really a dull moment. I would never trade this for the world! I'm a Junior and can't believe I'm close to graduating! |

A liberal arts high school. I love it to pieces. I used to like it better though. I know it's only fair, but they let people in on a lottery and some of the kids just aren't very nice or hippy at all. They're closed minded and I can't connect with them. But it's much better than being back in public school, that's for sure. _________________ Hi! I'm Adia. I have NLD and I'm actually, sort of, kind of, really happy about it |

| Public school, everything has been better since I got a 504 plan academically. I don't have a group but I have managed to keep a few friends. |

| I go to a school which is here specifically for people with disorders in the autistic spectrum because they require specific attention. Although it is pretty well adjusted, it's not exactly as I would like it. Not much is adjusted to the needs of the individual. Although we stay in the same classroom the entire day and have just one teacher for humanities and scientific subjects (that makes two), they are still very different. |
