for windows xp and VISTA systems, i can.
there is a tutorial online (forgot were) on what the sections of a HJT log meant and what it means.
in HJT logs it basically says what settings are turned on and whats running (at the moment of the log recorded) and what plug-ins and toolbars/buttons you have installed on your browser (IE)

Hijack this is a malware scanner, not a cracker tool.

I thought the whole point of it was to read it out loud then exclaim "ah" and finally uninstall windows.
Anyway, it is an art. If you are an absolute newbie to sane processes a good start might be to try googling each line in the log until you find a suspicious result.
