Well it is 'smart' for the guys making the food to find another way to get you to buy it. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Here's a new and never before heard of idea Arrow hey people, read the blankety-blank ingredients then employ some of that deductive reasoning you should have been taught way back in school to figure how the stuff in the box fits into a well balanced diet.

The reason this kind of scheme works, unfortunately, is because it appeals to the egos of certain people. They deduce that by purchasing these foods they have somehow become more "smart." And of course, it's an opportunity to be part of the "in-crowd" of gullible folks who are used to following the herd. Read the ingredients? Of course not! If no one else is, this is definitely the right course of action! Rolling Eyes

You got it - and that's why they are called "sheeple"

To paraphrase a classic nursery rhyme:
Baa baa dumb sheep, following the crowd.
Yes sir, yes sir, I haven't my own will.

I eat fresh food, not smart food. Fresh veggies, fresh fruit, fresh meat, fish and poultry. We eat very little packaged food.

Food for deep thought topic

Any food that is trans fat laden, fried, processed, artificially spiced/sweetened/salted should be avoided. This is just common sense, and body healthy. Ruveyn's choices round out what is best. Cool

I suspected I was on the right track, when I found that I could rarely use any coupons that I had. They are never good for things like fresh produce, or healthy grains and such. You'll notice that junk food and convenience items are always cheaper than natural, healthy stuff!

I’m old enough to remember when some smart ass came up with the idea that ingesting chlorophyll could make you smell good until someone asked why goats smell so bad even though they ingest chlorophyll all day.

The biggest shame is that the "dean of the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University" was president of the smart choices board...unless that's one of those made up designations or honorary position to make it seem more legit...pretty much all post-secondary institutions in north america are being super commercialized...the chartwells catering monopoly, increasing emphasis on business studies instead of humanities, banning student protest and fliers...christ.

I am a compulsive label reader, being a diabetic I am always looking at the list of ingredients, alot of these
marketing ploys are aimed at the uninformed who are to lazy to read what they are putting in their bodies.

It's a shame, isn't it? Lots of people treat their cars better than they do their bodies! Confused
