I have heard that most babies are born with blue eyes. I don't know what color eyes I had when I was born, but when my parents adopted me (I was 5 days old) they were already dark brown. They still are.

Had brown eyes all my life although it looks brighter in the light.
Although I do wish I had blue/green eyes but it would probably look weird on me
