What type of sound was he trying to get out of it? Was he using Microphones or Piezoelectric transducers to capture the sound he was trying to get it to produce? LaughingLaughing

Love the stuff. Always takes my mind off into a gritty, surreal other world.
A "few" personal favs:

Skinny Puppy
Angelspit
Obscenity Trial
Monte Cazazza (bloody. wicked. genius)
KMFDM (always good fun)
Laibach
Coil
Project Pitchfork
Chemlab
Cyanotic
Front 242
Stromkern
And One
VNV Nation (their older stuff, their newer is hit-and-miss)
Rabbit Junk (more metal with mild industrial elements here and there)
Funker Vogt (loved them since FOREVER)
Velvet Acid Christ

I like Skinny Puppy, especially Last Rights, VIVISectVI, Mind the Perpetual Intercourse. As far as other people are concerned though I've heard Wumpscut, I like some angles of their stuff but a lot of they're stuff doesn't have the same agility that Skinny Puppy does (ie. I like the beats that trainwreck out, break in at odd times, decompose and form out of signature, its like phatt hip-hop dj'ing but with a very gothy flavor and of course ridiculous synergy between insightful lyrics and emotionality with equally as much vision).

Someone else that I do like what I've heard from though is Hocico, they might be worth more of a listen. As for the dancy upbeat stuff like KMFDM, just doesn't hit the right moods for me Neutral - has to be both dark and intelligent, lacking either of those and I'm just not feeling it.

Actually nevermind, forget Hocico - heard some other stuff on Youtube, same complaint I have about Cyclon 9, Funker Vogt, etc., I can't get into the stuff that sounds like an Ogre Jr. trying to scream over *really* old early 90's trance, that's what most of the newer wave sounds like to me.

I agree completely about Skinny Puppy. Made me think of a pre-industrial group: Cabaret Voltaire. One of my very biggest favs! I feel I hear lots of CV in Skinny Puppy's massive complex throbbing nad manic babbling Smile
