Olivia didn't want to go to bed last night. She kept squealing. We checked on her from time to time to try to make her more comfortable and check her diaper. I wound up having to sleep on the couch last night because of it (and because my wife told me to - she wasn't kicking me to the dog house or anything)
Anyway, she gets up and goes to work and I'm here having to deal with an overtired toddler who won't eat and is disagreeable as holy hell. I'm trying to make her breakfast which she won't eat in a kitchen that's a damn sty.
See, I do a lot of cleaning around and I sometimes get overwhelmed and I think it would be nice if one night, she didn't play her restaurant game on facebook or that bejeweled blitz and clean the kitchen or something! It's not all on me, it can't be!
Now Olivia needs to be taking a nap but she's squealing in her room being full of energy. You'd think that without a lot of sleep, the human body would be tired during the day and want to nap! Not Olivia! She doesn't need sleep it seems!
During all this, my wife keeps calling and texting and the final straw was when she called to tell me that she's going to be late because of some fubar at work.
So I'm stuck with a whiny toddler nearly all fricking day and she's at work chatting it up with her coworkers about football or some other crap. Or worse, peacefully sitting, writing notes or filling out log entries or whatever the hell is is she does there all while NOT listening to a two year old whine all day!
And I'll bet anyone all the change in their pockets that when she gets home, the first thing she'll do is get on the computer, smoke a few cigarettes and "relax" from her stressful and hectic day of filling out paperwork and handing out medicine!
That's another thing; when Olivia's fussing or whatever, she'll be sitting here at the computer or watching TV and she'll notice her fussing and say, "one more butt?" YA, go ahead, ignore our daughter for one more lousy cigarette! She's always quick to tell me to ignore Olivia's fussing or if she's crying, let her be or give her a time-out. I just feel that's being a lazy parent and it's neglectful to leave a kid alone when they're suffering.
rant over for now. _________________ Is a pith hat made of pith or head-ware of some importance? |

My Mom says that's exactly what I was like.
You might have to consider that Olivia is a budding Aspy! _________________ oh No!
