I was just feeling overwhelmed with the patterns in nature. Does anyone else get excited and overwhelmed with the science of our world? OMG. A baby grasshopper just hopped onto my desk... He stands so still. Surprised He's not moving! But alive. Wow. Very Happy

Heck yeah!

I remember watching bugs and leaves for hours when I was a kid. My friends have always been amazed by my drawings. They captured the most detailed patterns. I don't really draw anymore, I've outgrown my intense interest in patterns.

But I still occasionally get lost in this:

*Btw, how did you know the grasshopper was a he? Razz

Nature does interest me. It is nice to just look at nature.

A total and complete guess. 'It' just seemed too impersonal.

He's so cute! But I think he's a cricket.
I agree, nature is so cool! I like the shape of muscles. Their irregular shapes and the way they fit together and how the shapes change when they move~

TheMisfit: that cabbage is awesome.

I like to watch bugs too! I never stopped..
You know, the bugs at my new apartment are almost all different from the bugs at my last one, and my house before that, even though it's only a few towns away! So interesting.

I always preferred broccoli to cabbage.

I'm nuts about nature. I can even tell you what a few species of grasshoppers are, but I am more of a bird expert, though I do branch out some. Seeing as many types of birds as you can... learning about their lives and stuff. I used to carry a bird guide with me everywhere I went, memorizing them all.

And that is indeed a cricket.
