We have seven snakes (3 ball pythons, 1 blood python, 1 burmese python, 1 carpet python, 1 leucistic texas rat snake) and a leopard gecko. I hear we will be getting a turtle next week, so I will be adding one of those to my list soon enough... never had a turtle before... should be interesting... _________________ "...don't ask me why it's just the nature of my groove..."

My cat chose me when we were both little. Mum and I were just picking up the dog from the vet and she grabbed me through the cage and wouldn't stop screaming so I took her home. She's been my best friend now for 16 years.

I have an ancient cocker spaniel, but consider myself a cat person because until my last cat died, I had never gone more than a year without cats in my life.
When the dog passes, she will be my last pet because of allergy problems. I do plan to continue socializing animals in shelters now and then (after taking meds in advance) but being on various antihistamines on a regular basis is rather wearying. _________________ “How I wish that somewhere there existed an island for those who are wise and of good will.”--Albert Einstein

I have 3 cats and a Labrador Retriever. I wouldn't say I own them though, it might be more appropriate to say they own me, especially the cats. But I let them walk all over me (sometimes literally) because they're adorable and this time of year they're a lot warmer than blankets.
