VI and XII thus far, but I love all of them and play them all over and over again. I've been a total SquareEnix fanboy since Dragon Quest I and Final Fantasy I for my NES.

Hrmm, VI, or VII.

However, VIII had the best card game.

Lastly, give me FFXIV NOW PLEASE!!!

I have got through Final Fantasy II(SNES), VII, X, and XII. I guess Final Fantasy VII is my favorite which I got through recently after downloading it from the Playstation store.

So far, I've beaten VII, IX, and X. Out of all three of them, IX is my favorite, even though it suffers from the SPOILER ALERT final-boss-swap cliche.

My favorite Final Fantasy is the last one they will make because then, there will be no more Final Fantasy. It should have ended with the first one, because it's such a boring game that's overrated. Bland characters, bland worlds, and bland gameplay.

for me it's VII then X and finally VIII.

Sepphiroth is one of the most awesome villians ever, X for haveing great plopt twists and VIII for some of the, up to then, best cut sceenes ever. I love the Ballroom of VIII.

So Tempted to flame, but I will not. I will just outright state that I disagree, and that is all.

My favourite one is probably Final Fantasy IX. I know to some it may seem like an odd choice, but I liked how it took elements from the previous eight games and combined them together. It almost seemed like it was like an Easter Egg hunt with references from other games like "Oh, Bobby Corwen the Chocobo can be called Boco from FFV!". Plus, the storyline was amazing.

That's not to say that most of the others weren't terrible. IV was the first one I played and loved. VI kept me entertained for hours as did VII, and Final Fantasy X blew me away too.

The only one I was truly disappointed in was Final Fantasy XII...I didn't mind the new battle system, and some of the optional "Guild Hunt" bosses were challenging...but the story was just BLAH!

I haven't played too much but lately word is that XIII is way to linear, some are going so far as to say it is like an interactive movie.
