A Queen (78kg), the Prince (36kg) and the King (42kg) are stuck at the top of a tower. A pulley is fixed to the top of the tower. Over the pulley is a rope with a basket on each end. One basket has a 30kg stone in it. The baskets are enough for 2 people or 1 person and the stone. For safety's sake there can't be more than a 6kg difference between the weights of the baskets if someone's inside. How do the people all escape?

I know this one...

Prince in one and stone in the other, prince goes down. Then the stone is taken out and the king goes down, prince goes up. Then the king gets out and the prince goes down with the stone up. Then seeing as though only the stone is left it's safe for it to go down alone. Then the stone and the King go up with the Queen going down. Then Prince goes up King goes down without stone then prince and stone balance each other out and the Prince goes down. I win!

Unfortunately, the book is taken off shelves due its low price not covering the costs of the materials used to make it. Years later the author is found dead with a noose around his neck wearing a bikini.

I suck at maths. I can't do basic subtraction, division or know my times tables.

$2.00

$1 + 0.5*$2 = $2
