I've qualified as a teacher, and I signed up with a supply agency. Today was my first day of work. They rang me up in the morning because they needed someone at a local school.
It was very stressful, but I managed it.
Maybe I'll be able to cope with this life stuff after all! _________________ If you don't believe in dragons it is curiously true, that the dragons you disparage choose to not believe in you. |

I take it this is the equivalent of substitute teaching in the UK? Yes, you will get a wealth of experience, yes, every day is kind of a fresh start and you can try out new things. But, Wow, this is the most demanding and challenging type of teaching. Keep trying with energy as it sounds like you are doing, ping pong it back and forth, interchange between theory and practice, but please also cut yourself some slack when you make mistakes. This very much is a learning experience. |

Hi Alycat,
Congratulations! Having been a substitute teacher myself, I know it can be challenging.
My fingers are crossed for you. Good luck! _________________ Jeff Deutsch
