It became apparent that bashing of others is getting out of hand. I'm not going to name names as we know who they are.
It wrecks things for others that come here to talk, have fun, and just be social with one another.
Plus the bashers don't seem to care who they maline.

I think the system admin has a brain and can decide on a case by case basis what
is wrong and what to do about it. He has the power to make the rules as needed, but
at the same time he knows people with asperger are going to have lots of missunderstandings and if he enforced an iron fist policy the site might loose so many
people that it becomes a non-viable, boring useless, waste . |

I voted combination...I think there are people who have been out right abussive who should be banned.
They are just bullies who use personal insults.I think somepeople just arnt very "bright" and say think in a way thats hurtful...they could be warned....Some people are just "friends" and having fun with each other...problem is ...I cant tell if they are just joking?who decides this....?If I knew that they were joking ,I would find it funny but if I think they are trying to hurt someone,then it hurts my feelings(empathy in aspies...gasp...)

I think bashers should be given read-only access, for anywhere from a few days to a few months, depending on the severity of the offense. That way, they can still keep up with what's happening on WP. At the same time, they can't make any new offensive posts, since they won't be allowed to post anything to begin with. Trolls, on the other hand, should be banned completely.

"Bashers" here is kinda vague. If what these people are doing is a sort of "playful" insulting, then I really couldn't care less, but if what they're spewing is flat-out hate, then I think it's an issue.

that's funny-(because) I thought it was somebody else talking about saabuti, not saabuti talking about themself. (typos and grammar...nah..)
I agree with warnings in general--because sometimes we (the world/especially aspies) don't know what we have done.
I see a 'little' sibling rivalry in here (wp)...but that's all (through my window). When people feel hurt, I've seen them say "hey! I feel hurt and picked on"
I haven't been around long enough mebbe to see what this particular topic is refering to, but what I have seen of our being left predominantly to work things out for ourselves has made me more able to communicate "in general" without self sensoring every little thing I say or think or do~like I might normally do elsewhere; so I am tenitive to form an opinion to answer because I see bashers as being so much harsher than what I have personally read.

I don't like the flame on high for me or if its just watching somebody else do it. There is enough bad emotion in the world to burn a permanant log.

I think that the petty attacks are getting out of hand here (and they probably have been for awhile) I'll sling some mud myself, but I'd much rather no one did.
There are parts where things start getting pretty grey though. |

The main reason for my posting this poll is out of concern for younger people that shouldn't be subjected to such conversations.
I am a firm believer in freedom of speech and self-expression. But isn't posting such things forcing our views good or bad onto
impressionable young people?
Last I heard this was still America. I admit, I bash myself frequently but I don't go into descriptive details about self-mutilation
like burning or cutting myself. If that's what everyone feels appropriate write. Then I really have came to the wrong website.

I think there is a troll using a very large number of nick_names. You know the
man of a thousand nicknames. Is quite real. Hell I see two maybe three user in the
last day who have about a 95% chance of all being the man with a 1000 nicks.
This is not one guy calling names saying bad words. He is trying to hijack threads and start fights between members .
He has used common words, and phases in his post. Starts off with a short intro
in getting to know you section which usually includes the phrase " I have mild or
moderate aspegers" . Lately he used SUP in many post. Post in his own threads. Likely
votes in his own polls with multi-nicks. Oh then after the intro he goes to a very
off the wall post about sex or drugs, etc. |

Dear Peace loven Wiccan Hippie...I was one of the individuals who posted about cutting and self-harm in response to some one who was in obvious need of support...some of the very "inoscent" children you want to protect may be doing it now.I worked with teens for 8 years and if you want to protect them...you are not doing so by presenting a suger coated reality...back when I was doing it,I would have loved to know that I wasnt alone,that I wasnt a "freak"(like you may assume,if its not your issue)
I would have to say the same thing about drugs and drinking....I hope the parents have enough envolvement in their childrens on-line time that they can monitor where they are going on-line,but I havent seen anything on here(except for some sexism)that I think is really negative.I think you underestimate kids.There are so many things wrong with the internet and messages in the media,far worse then the "reality" presented here,which is mostly one of humor and compassion...
I dont want to have my experiences negated because someone finds them an uncomfortable reality.
I know a peace loven wiccan hippy can understand the evils of censorship?remember book burning?
That was to preserve the "innocence of children,as well.(and rock and roll)
Beside which ,you just started this topic because you didnt like what people were doing

Anyway...I hope you will refrain from pulling the "innocent youth" card everytime you dont like some thing here...I think its kind of hypocritical for a peace loving,wiccan hippy...
