Basically, some whiny emo teenage outcasts figured out that they kind of were autistic, only just a teeny bit. Then they started making this BS movement for other whiny ~unique~ teenagers to join them. So that they could all meet together on the Internet and have a giant circlejerk about how UNIQUE and MISUNDERSTOOD they are. And got a few dipshit doctors to vouch for them.

Hey, it's cool if you're an emo freak of nature who can't make eye contact or stand tags on clothing. Lots of people have weird little quirks like that. In fact, everybody on earth does. But when you claim it's a disorder and associate it with a REAL disorder like autism, and then have the nerve to prance around like your s**t doesn't stink, then you can just go f**k yourself. And then go to your hug box, ass pie.

Oh, and before you press that little thumbs-down button (on urbandictionary.com), let it be known that I have been formally diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. I meet all the criteria. But I also have a cousin my age that has severe autism. Therefore, I don't think it's right to go waltzing around like I'm so special and that I have real mental problems and everyone should appreciate my speshulnessssssss.

A real-life mental disorder, related to autism, that only about 2-3% of people claiming to have it have actually been professionally diagnosed by a psychologist.

Sometimes known as "Ass Burgers". Sufferers (emphasis on sufferers) are sometimes calles Aspies or "ass pies".

Here's a protip: People with mental disorders usually don't brag about it like it's a badge of honor, especially a form of autism. It's always worth a good laugh to see every awkward, socially-inept, angsty teenager who has ever gotten beat up by the "jocks" in school claim to have Asperger's Syndrome to justify being an utter loser.

Like a lot of "Mental Illnesses", this one has been discovered/invented in the last 10 years or so.

Don't get me wrong, a real mental illnes is a horrible thing to have. By a real one, I mean something like Paranoid Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, or Major Depressive Disorder. However, more "Mental Illnesses" have been discovered/invented in the last 15 years than in the last 1000.

This is because of society's growing complacency towards high-energy snack products, caffeine-containing drinks, and idiotic television propaganda telling you what you should eat and drink and buy and do. As a result of this complacency, many people in society (especially children, as they are more susceptible to this sort of treatment) are now acting a lot differently to how people acted several decades ago.

As a result of this change in personality, more and more "Mental Illnesses" are being discovered/invented every year. Asperger's Syndrome is just another case of corporate-paid doctors inventing a syndrome. Why? So that parents can have an excuse as to why their kids behave so bad, instead of just admitting that their children have been subjected to too much of society's propaganda.

Asperger's Syndrome: you don't have it, you're just badly-behaved.

To be honest, there have been many times where I've debated in my mind whether people with AS really have something 'wrong in the head' or are really just losers looking for a more acceptable name for their condition. So I don't think these people are necessarily stupid for saying what they've said here. I just think it's unnecessarily hurtful.

ericmc, you might find that stuff funny. The rest of us probaly won't. You're making light of a sensitive issue, by posting the opinons of bullies views on Asperger's Syndrome. Bullying isn't funny, and all you are doing is spreading their power to these boards.

*Shrug* I don't need to read about Asperger's syndrome to feel "special". To the contrary. Neither do I need reasons to go off bragging about anything (I don't do that stuff). Like I guess most people here, I'm looking for stuff that might give me more insight into myself.

Hell if I know what an emo is.. though the stereotype from what little Ive heard about them they are people who dress darkly, complain a lot, and listen to "emo music" whatever that is.

I think its short for emotional or something like people who are really sensitive and always display too much emotion.. which is of course the anti-thesis of AS.

I found their ignorance slightly amusing but it was overpowered by my anger at their blatant malice.

They also have a tend to have a habit of self harm and suicidal tendencies.
