Has anyone else ever hear music or sounds and it was actually a fan? I have that issue now as I type this and its making me crazy. We have 2 fans going in one room and I keep hearing music its happened to me a bunch of other times and I wondered if anyone else has dealt with the same thing.

I hear music in or under commonplace sounds all the time, if I let it get too quiet. I keep regular music playing pretty much all the time, unless the television is on. I don't mind the phantom music, but all the extraneous noises would drive me nuts, my neighbors are very obnoxious and inconsiderate.

I can hear it, and manipulate it in a sense, creating neat rhythms and stuff.

I listen to classical music. Sometimes when the CD is done, I still hear faint music.

Yes, that's happened to me many times. Not so much these days, but it still happens. My husband just says "Voices in your head getting louder?" and we laugh and move on.

I hear phantom music/background voices when I'm running on fumes and haven't slept for a long time. The first time it happened I was in high school, and I ran all over the house looking for whatever radio had been left on, it was that real. After wasting probably half an hour looking, it finally dawned on me that there was no radio. And after a few more phantom radio episodes I realized it only happens when I've been sleep deprived.

Classical is what I normally hear when this happens, though I don't listen to classical music much. I've also been known to hear bag pipes.

Wow bagpipes would really be crazy. But cool too. Does hearing this make us crazy or just unique?

I tent to hear random bit of instrument (ranging from guitar and other stringed instruments to synth beats and whatnot. I can easily entertain myself by creating my own background music to my life in my head.

Also, the bag pipes are probably because I have celebrated my Scottish heritege since I was a baby. My mom has a picture of me in a kilt sitting in the grass with a band playing the bag pipes in to background. I couldn't have been more than 7 months old.

The other night I thought my brother was listening to his stereo because I heard his favorite song playing, but then it dawned on me that his stereo wasn't on and it was all in my head.

And whenever there is a loud, continuous sound, such as the telephone ringing, or a baby crying, I can still hear it ringing in my head for a little while after the noise has stopped.
