We've got to leave the house sometime though, ...sigh _________________ "I'm sorry Katya, my dear, but where we come from, your what's known as a pet; a not quite human novelty. It's why we brought you.... It's nothing to be ashamed of, my dear, but here you are and here you'll sit." |

Just that I've seen people treat animals the way you described and it is even more tragic when it happens to a person. Unfortunately, a pet won't understand that it's being abused and often a person won't know either, that's doubly tragic.
When you're adding up all those who don't like you, compared to those who DO like you, be sure and keep tally on the ones YOU give a damn about, too. You might find that the ones who don't like you, don't matter much. _________________ It's just music for me. The other stims don't work. |

It isn't easy understanding people.
Nor is it easy to be understood.
I can relate to CockneyRebel here - sometimes I wish the world would just leave me alone. But then I seek friendship so I'm drawn back, like a moth burning itself on a lightbulb.
SeaBright: I like you a lot. I admire your attitude to life and I agree with most of the things you say. If I see your name as the last writer in a Thread I'll always go and have a look, 'cos I know it'll be worth reading. _________________ The Sociable Hermit says:

I guess I should be less airy. Here's what happened. I took sidework at a former jobsite for some hours. I got yelled at again by work managers who first make like they want me around, then bipolarly flip out on me. I mean, this is hard sh** work-that I do quite well. I don't see why a person would go from happy to aggressive to happy to aggressive and still manage to have any employees. They would be happy to run me into the ground treating me like a queen-then a b****-then a queen. Pretty sureal. |
My boss is exactly the same way. He's in a good mood and joking one minute and the next he is a real @@%hole. He is like that to everyone thou not just me. I tell ppl he has pms the permanent kind!
Anyway i don't care if ppl don't like me, well ok just a little. But i'm getting to the point were i don't care. I have a few nice friends who appreciate me and that is all i want for friends. |

The lack of Aspie women is part of the reason I have decided to leave Houston. And finding one is nearly impossible because either:
a) she is already in a relationship
b) she does not live anywhere near the college I plan to intend to
c) she is not willing to do a long-distance relationship
d) she is not looking for a relationship
e) she is looking for a relationship, but not with me

| I feel that there are some people who don't like me, as well. They say Hello to be polite, but when I tell them what's troubling me, they the ultimale NT answer. To give up on the things that I love the most and to find a new interest. They don't realise that they push me away by suggesting that I change my "Tune". I'm going to make up a T-Shirt that starts out with black lettering, saying, "This is..." and than there will be a painted on image of a Routemaster with a Side-Advert that says, "Cockney's Life!" Below the Bus will say, "Let me live it in Peace!" On the back, will be a lime green Peace-Sign. |

I never expect anyone to like me. Its a bonus when they do.
However I found out at a recent class reunion that I was liked at school more than I thought. It could be more people like you than you know. Could it be that you have a problem reading people? - lol _________________ I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in.
