There is no monolithic and identifiable "Black Culture". The genes for melanin do not determine folkways, customs or cultural values. The genes for base melanin production only determine the likelihood of skin cancer. It is rather what people assume and teach their children about others with lighter or darker skin that actually determine the cultural xenophobia and persecution complexes which are developed by nurture rather than by nature.

Honestly, I'm NOT racist. But I seem to have a worse & worse experience with every black person I meet in Hamilton County, OH, USA. So do the other Aspie men I met here back in 2002. In recent years, I've been trying to convince myself, these individuals in Hamilton County never give anyone a clear idea of who African-Americans really are. The "gangsta" culture is evident in the language & behavior of many, many African-American individuals in Hamilton County, OH. I'm most often seeing them on the buses, on the streets, at the Main Library in Downtown Cincinnati. I am the only Aspie who does not drive. ALL the other Aspies in this town drive. I also have sensory processing disorder so with my visual processing deficit my psychologist really doesn't want me driving. But I drove before & I was fine until I was too tired to drive most of the time. I think I should try to drive again. Even when I take a 2-hour bus ride out to the suburbs, I still hear them talking that s***. It's NOT cool when they call each other n***az. They're so quick with the name-calling. Because of that I'm armed with tear gas so that when I call them something offensive in return and they try to kill me, I can save myself. Now don't get me wrong - I'm NOT referring to the entire race everywhere. I'm ONLY referring to the black NTs that piss me off here in Hamilton County, OH, USA, NOWHERE ELSE. When I ignore them, they persist. They even reach out & touch me. I can't stand that! I often risk being thrown out of my public library because my "go away" gesture is often taken as me taking a swing when really I make the gesture with an open hand, NOT a fist.
I wish black NTs would change the way they treat Aspies. More & more black ppl are finding out they themselves have AS or another autism spectrum disorder. But in this county, black people KILL each other (and anyone else they're mad at) 365 nights a year. So, I expect there to be ZERO black autistic people in Hamilton County, OH, USA. If there are any here, and they're on WP, please know that I am NOT referring to them in a negative context.

I grew up in that area. Southwest Ohio is one of the last great strongholds of racism in America. The black areas of Hamilton country, which are de facto segregated from the white areas, are extremely impoverished. Poverty breeds crime and poor manners, whether you're looking at blacks or whites. Cincinnati cops are also pretty harsh on blacks, leading to a self-fulfilling prophecy. _________________ WAR IS PEACE

There is a BET but not a WET or even an AET? Well rap is definitely not one of my favorite genres of music. Being "gangster" gets a lot of people murdered and it's actually quite ridiculous.
It seems that while blacks are better at screwing up things on a local, social level, white people screw things up on a political, economic level. It seems that a lot of blacks don't have the capacity to hold in and bury anger, while white people seem to not have a conscious.
I say we hand down the world to the jews and asians. Who cares about mexicans.
I don't have a racist bone in my body. Well, maybe a tiny, little bit in my pinky finger (I am human after all), but that is all. I am opposed to racism and hope I always avoid making these kinds of ignorant generalizations.

The Boondocks does a great job of roasting BET. As far as white entertainment, there's pretty much every channel on the TV with white entertainment. As far as Asian entertainment, I'm not sure of any nationally held stations but when I was living in Los Angeles, there were two Asian broadcast channels. The Korean soaps were funny but that's probably because I was just imagining what they might be saying from how they were acting*. It's probably actually the same drab as the white soap operas.

@Orwell, The stronghold of racism has to be the entire South or Southern States, to be sure, and poverty breeds much more than crime and poor manners. I wanted my education more than anyone can begin to imagine, from the time I was very young. I don't even remember learning to read. I just always knew how. I was lucky enough to be a quick learner, during the very short, intermittent periods when I 'was' in school, and it's a wonder I could learn anything with all that was going on in my world. I think you should be grateful that you had the privilege of getting an education and the time with which to learn and not take pot shots at those who are less fortunate than you have been by talking about petty, condescending things like the "manners" of a certain subset. I know that people like you look down on people like me but I have to tell you, I feel much the same way about people who have such an overwhelming superiority complex that they go around condescending all the time to others. No matter how sophisticated you make it, it's all the same.
