Usually it's just pen's for me...but I will chew on anything that I am holding really and absent mindedly-I'll be doing something...could be in public or at home but next thing I know I'll be chewing on something..and if it's in public and it's something strange I'll probably put it back in my hand and look around to see if anyone saw me chewing on whatever it was. Could be a piece of paper, a tootsie pop stick, anything really as long as it's small enough. Maybe I am part puppy.

I chew on folded straws and gum - yum yum.

Edit: I used to chew on pens but one day at the mall I was chewing on a pen and the ink "exploded" all over my mouth. It was so disgusting and I had to run to the restroom and wash it out in front of all of these women. Never again! :hic:

Mostly I chew unflavoured nicotine gum.....looking for a decent substitute, but all the gum in the shops is full of chemical sweeteners.

I'm sure chewing is one of my main stims. I used to chew more or less anything but somehow learned not to - I guess it's risky, especially if you work in a laboratory where you can't even be sure the pencils aren't covered in carcinogens. I knew one scientist who would chew "Nescofilm" which is a soft plastic sheet designed for stretching over test tubes etc. to seal them...she'd roll the stuff into a ball and use it like gum.

Actually chewing is technically banned in laboratories, but I defy the rule because I think they've just got the wording wrong - it's perfectly safe to chew as long as you put the gum in your mouth before you enter the laboratory.

But no, I'm not extreme like you, I seem to have made my chewing almost socially acceptable, though I've heard that some people think it's rude to chew in public, for things like job interviews and music performances. Seems rather finicky to me in a world where there are so many really nasty things to make rules against.

I am a chewer. One of my favorite things to chew on is people. Heh heh heh. If I am stressed my spouse will hold out his hand and offer me a chew to help calm me down. Yeah, I chew on people, pen caps, my fingers especially knuckle skin and cuticles, sleeves, tags, plastic cups, the insides of my cheeks, my tongue or lips... I enjoy chewing on thin, hollow plastic tubing if there is any around... we had extra from this fish tank get up thing and I loved that stuff... good texture... Funny thing though is that I do not care for gum.

Anything plastic or metal. I also always to it in public and I don't care what others think.

I'll pretty much chew on anything that fits in my mouth. I always have.

Oh yeah, I chew on everything.
Pens, usually. By the end of the day I usually have ink all round my mouth, and I've broken about twelve pens so far to chewing. I chew my nails so much I don't have hardly any nail left!

I chewed tables and wood when I was little. One thing I HATE on my teeth is fabric. I will go nuts if a put fabric in my mouth. I don't like it on my fingertips either.

Today, another one of my pens broke because of chewing, so I asked to borrow one from my teacher, and she gave me one. The next minute I realised I had subconsciously started chewing hers, too... I need to be chewing something all the time otherwise I get stressed.

I used to chew all the time. I'd chew the pull strings for my jacket when I was little. IN high school I chewed pens. I still like to chew on my hands. It must be an autism thing-I've heard of kids with classic autism chewing on their hands until the hands became deformed.

Ha that reminded me of junior high when I would get ink in my mouth and all over my lips and sometimes on my pants because I didn't realize I would break it but I would put it back in my pock...

Ya..I hate when I burrow pens and have to give them back with chew marks lol...

Sometimes gets a free pen because they see that and then they are like "Umm...you keep it."

Yes I do. It's now been a while now since I last chewed on something.

I was really bad about chewing the clip-on part of pens in school. You know..plastic tab for clipping a pen to your shirt, or whatever. I would either bend/twist them off intentionally or get a free surprise treat after they broke off, from clipping them on my fingers too much. I would chew on the plastic until it was completely flattened out.

^^ MMM MMM MMM

The other, other, other white meat.
