Hey all,

I've had a WP account for about 6 months now, but this is my long-overdue first post. Rather than subject you guys to another "hey, I'm new, gimme attention!!" thread, I have an actual question for you, particularly if you're a girl.

I'm a college student preparing to go to law school next fall, and I've been diagnosed with AS since I was a dinky little guy. I have very few evident symptoms these days (to the point where one friend of mine actually accused me of lying about having it. ha!), thanks to therapy in my grade school years and through life experience / social training from high school on. Essentially, the one major difference between myself and NTs is that I've learned body language/non-verbal communication, social skills, etc, through purely intellectual means, rather than it just clicking intuitively from day one.

I've lost a lot of weight over the last year and a half- I'm down to about 205 from 280 (I'm 6'1" if that helps). Obviously, this has drastically helped me in terms of dating compared to where I was before (read: zilch), but my residual shyness has limited my number of, er, romantic encounters over the last year. A big part of the problem is that I haven't been with quite enough girls to really get a firm sense of how good looking I am, or the type of girl I can realistically pursue. I know confidence is critical (mine ranges from average to not-so-great on any given day), but I at least want some idea of where I can start from a physical appearance standpoint.

It would be awesome if any girls here on WP could help me out; while I don't like the traditional 1-10 scale, it would be extremely helpful to me here haha. Any non-numerical comments are certainly appreciated, just don't be too mean

I turned 21 over the summer, but you'll see I don't quite look that old...

I think you look friendly and have a lot going for you, but some of those pics you're putting on a weird expression. Its hard to tell when its not real life. I voted 7-8, I don't know of whether it will help or not.

I think the average NT woman would rate you between a 7 and a 10. In some of the photos you're a bit overly expressive when you smile though.

Congratulations on the weight loss.

You're a cute guy, and girls will love your height. But like everyone else said, your expression just looks overdone. I disagree with whoever said you were a 5/6. Maybe their own personal opinion, but universally you wouldn't be seen as that.

I agree with what some of the others have said about the overdone expression (in some pictures) but that may be that you were just smiling for the camera and some people overdo it for the camera. Otherwise, with passible social skills, you should have less trouble with meeting women because you seem happy and nice in the pictures. You also seem to dress well.

Good on you for loosing the weight.

As a straight Neurotypical. I would have to rate you a 5-6/10 facially..........and then a 7/10 for being tall.

I'm not a girl, but I would rate you above averagely attractive.

I am a female and I said 7-8. Hard to put a number on such things, but you're a fairly cute guy, even if too young for me :) Agree with the others about the weird expression, but I have some pics of me with some odd expressions which don't mean much about the way I look IRL :)

I'm still waiting for ApsieGuy to post a thread similar to this.

OP: I don't think you're attractive, but then again I'm not easily impressed.

I'm just a regular looking white guy. However, right now, I sort of look like I workout. Here is me a few years ago pre-working out:

I don't believe I ever claimed to be good looking?

OP, I think you look like a very nice young man who has a lot going for him. Plus, between your height and recent weight-loss it sounds like you have a great build that girls will love. If you work on your self-confidence and smiling a little more subtly, you'll be all set. Good luck!
