Hi,

I'm doing a reseach at school about the connection betwin autism and joint hypermobility (being too flexible, which can cause some problems).

If you would like to help me, could you please answer this discussion and tell me your genger, age, score at the test on the link below and if you consider yourself NT, AS, autist, etc...

http://www.hypermobility.org/beighton.php

Thanks

I got a 5 - I can do all that stuff except for the elbows and knees.

Ah yes I suppose this helps - diagnosed ADHD but have my doubts. I honestly think it was a misdiagnosis.

Male, 20, self-proclaimed Aspie (After learning the symptoms and signs I'm sure of it),

...1.

(And that can be attributed to specific stretches in martial arts classes. Specifically the palming the ground without bending the knees.)

Female, 23 years, diagnosed Asperger's, 3.

All the other ones (knees, elbows, little fingers) were borderline---i.e., 180 degrees on knees and elbows, and 90 degrees on little fingers. I think my elbows and knees might be a little over 180, but I'd need one of those little gadgets that PT's use to measure joint mobility to figure out whether it really is over 180. You make the call on whether that counts.

Hey, you guys that got zero, I think the OP wants your age/gender/diagnosis, too.
