Holy cow! Has it been that long already!
Seems like last september was last week, and l was telling all of you about my hellish first day of college away from home.
However I am proud to report that my first year of college away from home is **unoffically over** as of now.
I completed my final assignment for my news writing class and will turn it in tomorrow. I now have two days to:
- Go to my final three regular classes
- Study for my history final
I don't feel the same way tonight I did on December 15th, I can't really explain how I feel now vs then, I just know I feel different. I look back on the year and reflect upon all I have experienced.
- I had a rough start to the year, the sudden transition was hard on me
- I was pointed out and made fun-of on two ocassions by other students
- I met a lot of people, many I like, some I didn't care for
- There were times where I felt like a million bucks, and there times where I felt like ending it all
In the end, I was able to blend in with the others, although I still am in a shell socially. One year ago I was hoping that my move to oshkosh would break me out of my shell, however I did not know about aspergers, and with the year at an end, I was unsucsessful in finding a group of people of whom I could fit into.
I had some unexpected things happen two. My change of major and having to drop two classes off my schedule.
I really wish I didn't have to drop my math class, but I would not have passed that class. My math professor was arrogant person who didn't do anything remotely close to teaching and he had a superiority complex to him that really bothered me. If I can't pass math, I don't get my degree, however, I've managed to do it before, and I hope that streak will continue.
So anyway, come friday afternoon around 2:30 or so in the afternoon, I will begin the process of packing up and leaving for home, where I get to spend the next 14 weeks until next fall when I have to come back here and do it again.

So the first year is allready finished? It seems a bit early. I am glad you made it throgh and I hope you pass and get good grades on your finals:)
Couldn't you get another math teacher? Or complain about the math teacher so romething? |

I, being your polar opposite (read: senior on the verge of graduating), have managed to survive four years at Castleton State College in Vermont. I did pretty much the exact same things my first year on campus, though I had to drop my French class because it was cancelled due to low attendance. What did I wind up taking in its place? A rock climbing course which lasted the latter half of the semester. However, unlike you, I didn't have to change my major.

I am glad you have completed your first
year. What grades did you get? What
was this MAJOR change? Did you make
alot of friends, or a few good friends?
What do you plan to do on your break
time? How do your parents feel?
I have alot of questions about your
success since I am pleased to see this
year pass and I hope the next has
much better follow through!

Ghost hunter, I think he means he changed his major from something to something else. Like a science major to an math major. someone correct me if I misread GH's question and/or what scoots was trying to say.

Unfortunately I did not meet anyone who I could call a friend
For summer time I plan on working to save up money for this fall.

I would think that you would take
a few weeks away from responsiblity
and just be somewhere other than
school, work, home.
Perhaps, If this were me! Reno, 1
week on a Greyhound bus to see how
others live, and thus step aside myself
and experience what others do, and
struggle at. This adds perspective
to my own life.
This is what I meant by taking time
off from responsibility. I hope you
find some travel to experience others
before you have to re-experience your
own space with responsibility.
