I'm sure everyone has weird fantasies, just something you fantasize about that most people would think is strange, but to the person fantasizing about it, it makes them feel happy or relaxed. What is yours?

One of my fantasies is living in a zombie apocalypse. Ever since I was a little kid I was obsessed with zombie films like Night of the Living Dead, and for some reason the idea of being a survivor in a world-wide zombie outbreak just appeals to me. I like the idea of a complete collapse of government and humans being forced to take care of themselves or die trying, and of all the things in the movies that can cause an apocalypse (nuclear war, giant rocks from space, etc), a zombie outbreak seems like the most easy to survive and the most fun. I mean it wouldn't effect the enviroment at all so you'd still have fresh water and food to live on, and if you know how to deal with zombies you can have fun killing them and the idea of seeking shelter in abandon buildings and looting supplies just seems like a lot of fun to me.

In fact I think if a zombie outbreak ever really did happen I'd be an expert survivor because I've watched too many zombie films. Razz

You know they sell a Survival Guide on Amazon.com about how to deal with a zombie outbreak. Maybe that's what I should ask for when X-mas comes? Wink

I have had apocalyptic fantasies before, but not involving zombies. More like nuclear apocalypse. I think it started from a book I read in high school. I don't have them anymore though.

Last year I built an entire imaginary world based off of a few Tim Burton movies. It was set in a Steampunk Victorian-style fantasy world similar to Wonderland called Aspergeria and contained motifs and plots borrowed from anime such as Revolutionary Girl Utena and Angel Sanctuary. Basically I was the long-lost twin sister of Alice, and in our past lives we were a prince and princess who had an ill-fated romance and wound up dying in each other's arms. It was our destiny to continue filling the role of prince and princess in our present lives ("magical girl" style) by protecting the White Queen and her kingdom from the threat of the Red Queen.

Alice and I would be assisted by our friends, the Mad Hatter, Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett (Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett were antiheroes in this version rather than villain protagonists). Working for the Red Queen were the Knave of Hearts and his sister, Leona (a fictionalized version of my former best friend. Her name is a play on the Japanese word "ryona", which basically means sexual sadism).

I had a lot of fun imagining this fantasy world and I'm kind of sad that I got bored with it after only a year. But it lives on in a way, because now I am working on a "gritty reboot" of Aspergeria set in a slightly more technologically advanced version of the 1930s and involving a plot loosely inspired/influenced by James Bond and TaleSpin. This time the alliances have shifted (some of my former imaginary friends are now enemies) and some new characters are involved, such as Ari from the 2001 version of Planet of the Apes and Imaginary Helena, my fictionalized version of real-life actress Helena Bonham Carter.

I greatly dislike zombies given the reoccurring nightmares about them Sad

My fantasies...

Well, there are the ones about my being a member of the X-men and getting it on romantically with Nightcrawler Very Happy

I've had my own little world since a child, largely influenced by The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit and The NeverEnding Story.
There were five of us as siblings, only myself and my brother had created the world we lived in through imagination and thus were gods of this world, but we had chosen to live as normal people. Our land was at war with another as I had allowed them to suffer at the hands of some great evil, in retaliation they had sent the royal family of our land to the real world where I had to go to retrieve them - with various people from my world coming to assist and people from the land we were at war with trying to stop me. Very much a childish fantasy, I lived in it more than I lived in the real world...that lasted longer than it should Embarassed

As an adult I have the same characters from my fantasy as a child, with some additional key players, and we're all part of the same performing arts school so work on various bands and projects together - basically I only go to this little fantasy when I'm out walking and listening to music, this is me fantasising that I'm the one performing the music I'm listening to and the other characters are just other members of the band. It's a fantasy where I am really me, without the asperger's getting in the way....or the lack of musical talent.

Wow you guys have much more creative fantasies then mine. Very Happy

As a child I always used to daydream about what would happen if a zombie outbreak suddenly happened. Like at school I would look at the hallways and try to imagine zombies roaming the halls while my teachers and classmates ran and screamed, and I would leave the school and go out into the world on my own trying to escape from zombies. Or whenever I rode in the car or schoolbus I would look at all the buildings and cars and imagine them like they would look in a zombie movie with wrecks and garbage on the streets and buildings boarded up or with broken windows.

I don't really obsess on it that much anymore now that I'm an adult, but whenever I see a zombie movie or play a game about zombies it brings back those memories. Razz

That does sound kind of fun aside from the rotting pieces of flesh wandering around.

I like to imagine sometimes what it'd be like living in medieval times as a royal or person of high class. People would treat me with so much respect even though I'm young and I'd act like I belonged there. And for some reason... I like to think of taking a bath in a bathtub so big it'd be mistaken as a pool.

Then there's my tendency to imagine what it'd be like to be an actual alien. Like suddenly a spaceship would arrive telling me my mission on Earth is done and they're there to take me back. Then I discover I actually belong to an alien family of high class (I just like this idea) and was put on Earth in a human girl's body and my actual body was being kept alive until I returned. Then I learn about the culture of my people and adapt to my new home. My family needs to stop calling me an alien. .-. Some of this is actually inspired by the Homestuck trolls. I sort of want to make this into a story. xP

Then I often like to imagine what it would be like to be the main character in movies and games I've watched and played.

I had a fantasy about marketing the Carrot Sandwich many moons ago, until I made one and ate it. That fantasy died very quickly. That was before I accepted my body type in the Mid 90s.

I used to have crazy fantacy about being an animal...mostly wild cats and horses occasionally a dog. I played them out constantly untill I was put in the mental hospital because of it...which really sucked.

I thought I was the only one on the planet that loved the neverending story!!! Btw...for those who loved the movie...get the book..the 1st edition not the second...it is sooo much to the story that never made it in the movie (otherwise it really would have been the neverending story...literally cause it is a huge book) But the book is sooooo much better than the movie. but the second edition is the movie edition and leaves out so much. The first edition can be found on Amazon's old and rare books.

You put your age down as 21. Are you sure it's not the other way around? 12.

You know, I come to this site to avoid people who think they're better than everyone else.
