do you get overly excited about seemingly small things?

This might happen... I would get excited a lot when I was a small child, so I think it's in me... somewhere...

When I go somewhere with snakes I get really excited and start rubbing my hands together. It's weird. And I get really excited when the breeders that I have met put out new youtube videos.

I got three balls out of a machine the other day and danced a little jig. It was only supposed to give me one. I was thrilled. I love bouncy balls.

We something that I have been waiting for finally arrives, I get very excited.

i get excited about the things you describe. i love driving through large puddles after it rains and watching the water spray over the car and drown the world out. its scary if you're the one driving though. i also like seeing oil puddles on the floor. the colours are so pretty i could just stare and giggle at them forever. and i like bubbles for the same reason. going to the library or bookshops also gets me excited - i feel like exploding. going to new places that are full of stuff. like the socialist alternative hq or youth group centre. books, games, dvds, posters, pamphlets EVERYWHERE. i just want to rush everywhere and pick stuff up and look at them and feel them and read. and i like trains especially when they are ripping through underground tunnels and you can feel the wind rushing before them, hear them shriek and then watch them tear past you at incredible speeds. and the smell. makes me want to randomly scream whoooooooooo YEAAAAH!! ! but i understand that may possibly freak people out a little. especially if its someone my age. or would that just make them think i'm a juvenile hooligan? that was a bit long winded. sorry. i got high from typing this.

that was really cool!

i am sure you can imagine.... I LOVE BUBBLES TOO!! ! at a mall here in my city, there is a store with fantasic two-ply plexiglass wall with enclosed water, and jets of air shoot bubbles upward through the water so there is this everchanging bubble wall... i sometimes can't help but stare at it!

I also act like a little kid and get really exited sometimes. It happens when I see some cuuuuute plushies or little animals! I like to stare at animals, they are so funny and cute!

I bought a dead fish one time and I couldn't stop laughing and giggling while watching it. Then, I started playing with his mouth to make him talk and I called him "Mr Fishy".

OHHHH, when I was a kid I had an hamster and she was SOOOOO CUUUUUTE! I even put a picture of her in my wallet but I don't have it anymore sadly. Hamsters are awesome, it's so funny when they put lots of stuff in their mouth!

Btw, I'm 21 years old... :o

I feel somewhat feminine when I act like that... I don't see others guys giggling about cute animals.

The day before yesterday was the best in a month; I had bought 3 writing pads and was extremely happy about that. Others think it trivial, but I was really upset I couldn't find that particular format and brand anywhere. I was running low on my old pad and I finally found a store that stocked them. Result: overt hapiness, I couldn't stop being extremely happy.

well, i think it sounds adorable that you get all excited! i feel glad when men and women feel safe and comfortable to break out of traditional gender roles. why shouldn't men feel excited about cuteness after all?

i get excited when people make my plushies talk to me. and i'm 39!

Oh yes, I get excited by the little things all the time.

Seeing flowers rise up in the spring
Watching Praying Mantii pray
Watching the birds fly
Seeing the snow fall
Getting a job promotion
Getting married
Generously donating half of my assets in the divorce proceedings
Choosing my burial plot and gravestone.

A lot of small things excite me, though sometimes in different ways.

Just when I thought you couldnt be any cuter you bring up some uber cute fact I was unaware off

Back on topic:
Last week I went to a book signing, when I arrived home my father started yelling at me for driving while drunk, after I explained to him that I didnt have a drink he couldnt believe I was so excited from a book signing. So I guess that answers OPs question

- when I can watch a new chapter from one of my favourite series after a break.
.-whenever somebody shows that they were thinking about me. (Even when its my mother interrupting my studying to go clothes shopping online because she has seen that one of my favourite brands is on sale).
-Whenever I have time to the gym more than a couple of times a week.
-Whenever I hear about any underground rock band/author I like is coming to the city. I cant handle large crowds so known bands/authors arent usually an option for me(I almost passed out at the last big concert I went to becausse they were to many people and I was overwhelmed)but I give them a chance once a year.
-Probably several other things that dont spring to mind right now.

awwww thanks! it's probably pretty weird but i almost forget that the stuffies are not alive when someone does that. like, i sort of know and i sort of don't know. my mom used to make my little candies called gummy bears talk when i was a teenager, and i could not eat them after that... until someone reminded me that it is the gummy bears' destiny to be eaten. so then i felt better because they are probably happy to fulfill their destiny to be eaten.... o goodness the inside of my head is a strange place i think.

so cool you got that excited about a book signing. to some people out there, books are a serious business. but to a lot of people on this thread, books create such a feeling of excitement! plus it was an event that you attended, so i think that makes it extra-special!

Oh yes yes yes..... :P When I'm assembling a circuit board, the only thing that keeps me sane is the eye candy effect of the components. Love those little blue capacitors, and the colour code stripes on resistors.

But it's all over the place. There's a shop nearby that has a window full of little coloured glass ornaments, and they've taken a bit of trouble with the lighting.........you should see the textures and reflections and stuff.

With me it's usually physically small things as well as them being emotionally small. I thought everybody felt the same but that mainstreamers became ashamed of it and pretended not to be interested.

But, you misunderstand. Donating my wealth to other people is what the Bible instructs me to do. So, being blessed by god, giving half my wealth to the person I loved the most is pretty exciting. (Though, yes, as you might suspect... exciting in a different way. )

And, choosing my gravestone and burial plot is pretty exciting, you know? Choosing the biggest, most-desirable plot right in the middle of the sanctuary and making the gravestone ridiculously large and constructing it out of the finest gold-veined Venetian marble gives me a sense of superiority that brings me a small joy like no other.

So, don't underestimate the excitement in the little things in life. :P
