4 - Just woke up after a short sleep of about two and a half hours. I feel dehydrated and need to drink some water as I drank too much alcohol in the afternoon and evening. But other than that and apart from it being too hot and me not now being able to go back to sleep easily, I'm all right, I suppose.

Some good things (mostly related to... things,rather than people:)
I had to go to an art opening at my mother's studio on Friday and I think I was socially successful for a change
I've been listeing to a lot of good music recently.
I'll hopefully be getting my learner's permit soon
I'm not sitting alone at lunch anymore
I'm getting better grades than I ever have
My writing, which serves as a good judgement of my feelings, is nowhere as violent, vengeful, angry, and cynical as the stories I write in Rhode Island. That's a good sign.
Of course, there's the bad:
I feel though as hard as I try, I'm never going to make lasting social connections
I know that in a Social Darwinist high school world, I have little chance
I feel that others know me better than I do
so on so on so on...

I feel that I'm #2 on the scale. I'm dealing with two things. A killer case of the Flu, and the aniversary of my dear old Routemasters reaching their fate, last year, on December 9th. Let's just say that I have a box of Kleenex and a bag of Adult Pull-ups in my reach.   |
